CONTROL Hotbar

Your hotbar is for the items you choose to keep there.

CONTROL Hotbar keeps automatically received items out of your hotbar whenever your main inventory has room.

Instead of letting pickups fill empty hotbar slots with random blocks, mob drops, and other items, new stacks are sent to the 27 main inventory slots first.

Keep Your Hotbar Clean

When you pick up an item that needs a new stack, CONTROL Hotbar prefers your main inventory before using an empty hotbar slot.

Your hotbar is still available when the main inventory is full, so items are never intentionally discarded.

Existing Stacks Still Work Normally

CONTROL Hotbar does not lock or reserve your hotbar.

  • Existing compatible stacks continue filling normally.
  • Stacks already in your hotbar can still receive matching items.
  • Manual inventory actions keep their normal behavior.
  • Items returned from your cursor are left alone.

Crafting Leftovers

Leftover ingredients follow the same inventory-first priority when you close:

  • the vanilla 2×2 inventory crafting grid
  • a 3×3 crafting table

Crafting outputs, shift-clicks, and items from other containers keep their normal behavior.

Simple by Design

No configuration. No menus. No keybinds. No notifications.

Install it and play normally.

CONTROL Hotbar is client-side only — the server does not need the mod installed.
