CrashGuard exists for a very specific (and very annoying) problem:
when Minecraft crashes so fast that it doesn’t leave any useful information behind.

No crash report, no error screen, nothing. Just poof, gone.

CrashGuard quietly runs in the background and keeps track of what the game was doing.
When a crash happens, it saves that information so you’re not left guessing what went wrong.

Think of it as a small black box for Minecraft.

🔍 What does it actually do?

Records important game state before a crash

Helps with silent or instant crashes

Saves small diagnostic snapshots

Shows a recovery screen after restarting the game

Lets you start in Safe Mode if something breaks

Checks for obvious mod or mixin conflicts

Keeps everything clean and organized

It doesn’t fix crashes for you.

It gives you context, which is usually the hardest part.

📁 Where does it save stuff?

Everything goes into:

Logs, snapshots, and diagnostic data are all stored there.
It doesn’t replace Minecraft’s crash reports — it helps when those don’t exist.
