Description

CrazyTester is a Minecraft 1.20.1 testing mod designed to repeatedly simulate loot table generation and collect statistical data from the results.

Currently, the mod focuses on the vanilla Simple Dungeon loot table:

minecraft:chests/simple_dungeon

Use the following command to start a test:

/crazytester checkTreasure <count>

The specified number of loot generation attempts is processed in batches rather than all at once, helping prevent large-scale tests from excessively affecting server TPS. Each batch obtains a new random seed, and individual loot generation attempts use separate seeds derived from that batch.

The generated loot is analyzed and aggregated into several categories:

  • Total quantity of each generated item

  • Number of times each enchantment appears

  • Distribution of enchantment levels

  • Which items each enchantment appears on

The results are displayed in chat when the test is completed, while batch progress can be monitored during execution.

The current version is intended primarily as a development and testing tool for analyzing vanilla loot generation. Support for additional loot tables and more complete loot context handling may be added in the future.
