Introduction
This mod fixes a critical exploit in Create Mod's clipboard item for Minecraft 1.21+. Maliciously modified clipboards with illegal data components could trigger item duplication. The patch automatically sanitizes component data to ensure gameplay security.
Technical Mechanism
- Event Monitoring: Hooks into
ItemTossEvent(player item-drop event) - Item Identification: Detects if dropped item is
create:clipboard - Component Whitelisting: Only preserves:
create:clipboard_pages(page content)create:clipboard_type(clipboard type)
- Illegal Component Handling:
- Generates clean clipboard instance
- Migrates whitelisted valid data
- Auto-replaces dropped item
- Exploit Prevention: Blocks item duplication via
containeror other illegal components
