Dangerous Shafts is a small addon for the popular Create mod that adds a touch of realism to rotating shafts and cogwheels.

Features

  • Exposed shafts and cogwheels deal damage while rotating.
  • Damage scales with rotational speed.
  • Andesite Casing reduces shaft damage by 50%.
  • Brass Casing completely blocks shaft damage.
  • Encased cogwheels deal 90% less damage.
  • The mod also adds its own advancement tree.

Pain Shock Mechanic

Dangerous Shafts introduces a simple pain shock mechanic.

When a player is injured by a rotating shaft or cogwheel, they will suffer from:

  • Blindness
  • Weakness
  • Slowness

The player is also knocked away from the source of the impact, simulating a natural reflexive reaction to sudden danger.
