Welcome to Create: Harmonics

This mod lets you play music from URLs in Minecraft, to listen with your friends and enhance any kind of builds you make!

Everything is built to work with Create, so you have to use rotational power to make the music play, and make special records, named Ethereal Records.

Playback is also fully compatible with contraptions, so you can have moving speakers, on elevators, trains, or anything else you can think of!

Features

• You can play music from URLs, this mod supports a lot of sources, including YouTube, YouTube Music, Soundcloud and many more.
• For the Andesite Jukebox, playback pitch depends on the input rotation speed, half the maximum speed plays at normal pitch
• For adding music from URLs, you must use a Record Press Base
• When you craft an Ethereal Record, and no url is provided, it will play the music from the music disc you used to craft it
• Display links can show the currently playing song
• Jukebox supports loop mode when redstone powered
• Mechanical arms know when they can extract a record (when a song finishes) and insert a new one, for automated music systems
• Each music disc type has some special audio effects in it
• Pitch on contraption depends on contraption speed
• Audio is synchronized between players in multiplayer
• Valkyrien skies support

How it works

This mod uses ytdlp for retrieving the stream link, then this link is sent to ffmpeg which handles the transcoding in PCM format and then the audio is sent after the processing chain to native minecraft channels

It should be compatible natively with other audio handling mods since its using Minecraft directly for playing sounds, and not accessing to OpenAL

NO AUDIO is being streamed server to client and never will; clients themselves stream the audio from the original source, as they're watching/playing it from their browsers.

Important notice

This mod relies on ffmpeg and ytdlp, and must be installed manually; a guide will show up when launching the mod telling you the correct folder for installing each of the libraries.

Without these libraries the mod will only be able to play minecraft (and modded) music discs.

Welcome to Create: Harmonics

This mod lets you play sounds from the internet in Minecraft using Create mechanics.

Get Ethereal Records, special records which hold links that can be assigned using a Record press base, and put them in the mod's jukeboxes to have them play whatever you like!

Playback is fully compatible with contraptions, so you can play music on elevators, add ambient sounds to your factories or add cool engine sounds to your trains (working perfectly with speed-based pitch control).

The environment also affects the audio, muffling the sound when the speaker is submerged or reverberating when a special structure is built around it!

How it works 🌐

This mod uses ffprobe and yt-dlp to retrieve metadata from the source, while ffmpeg builds the audio stream directly for Minecraft's sound system.

This addon is natively compatible natively with other audio processing mods, such as Sound Physics Remastered

Note To remain compliant with the ToS of most online services, the server does not stream the audio; it only synchronizes the playback on each client. This makes the mod both multiplayer-friendly and legally safe.

External Library Notice ⚠️

Since external binaries are required to handle online sources, the mod features an embedded tool that can automatically download them for you from trusted sources. You can easily opt out of this behavior.

For manual installations, a comprehensive markdown guide will be generated with recommended download links and installation steps. Once installed, the tool can verify your setup instantly, without game restarts.
