Overview

Create: Minecolonies Smart Clipboard is a companion mod designed specifically for players who enjoy using Create and MineColonies together. Rather than introducing new gameplay systems, it strengthens the connection between both mods through practical quality-of-life improvements, smarter colony management, and targeted compatibility enhancements.

At its core is the Smart Colony Clipboard, an enhanced version of the standard MineColonies Clipboard crafted by combining the original clipboard with familiar Create components. Rather than replacing established MineColonies workflows, it expands them with additional colony information while consolidating the Resource Scrolls and Colony Map into a single management tool.

From there, Create: Minecolonies Smart Clipboard helps you better understand your colony's production capabilities, streamlines one of MineColonies' most repetitive building workflows, and introduces focused performance improvements that strengthen the Create–MineColonies experience without changing the intended gameplay of either project.

Why Create: Minecolonies Smart Clipboard?

Create and MineColonies naturally complement one another.

Create provides the engineering and production systems needed to support an expanding settlement, while MineColonies creates the long-term resource demands that give those systems purpose.

Create: Minecolonies Smart Clipboard exists to reduce the friction between those two experiences.

Rather than introducing entirely new mechanics, the mod focuses on improving existing workflows, helping you spend less time navigating interfaces and more time designing, building, and growing your colony.

Smart Colony Clipboard

The Smart Colony Clipboard is crafted by combining the original MineColonies Clipboard with familiar Create components, making it feel like a natural progression item rather than a replacement.

Once linked to a colony, it expands the standard clipboard with:

• Detailed request information
• Request dependency trees
• Additional production context
• Resource Scroll storage
• Colony Map storage

By consolidating several colony management tools into one item, it reduces inventory clutter while keeping the information you need readily available.

Smart Info Tooltip

Managing a growing colony often begins with a simple question:

Can my colony already produce this item?

The Smart Info Tooltip helps answer that question directly from the Smart Colony Clipboard.

When available, it displays additional production information for requested items, including:

• Whether the item can already be produced by your colony
• Which compatible MineColonies hut can craft or learn the recipe
• Production information for supported requests
• Additional recipe context where available

Instead of manually checking multiple huts or trying to remember where a recipe belongs, the information is available exactly when you need it.

Hut Block Shift + Right Click Recipe Teaching

If you've ever had the teaching menu open wondering, "Now… which planks were used for these shingles again?", this feature was designed for you!

Create: Minecolonies Smart Clipboard lets you teach supported Architect's Cutter recipes directly by Shift + Right Clicking the appropriate MineColonies workstation.

Instead of searching through materials or trying to remember which block teaches which decorative recipe, you can continue expanding your colony without interrupting your building workflow.

Create & MineColonies Performance Tweaks

Create: Minecolonies Smart Clipboard also includes targeted compatibility and performance improvements for players who use Create and MineColonies together.

Rather than attempting to redesign either mod, these optimizations focus on selected interactions between Create systems and MineColonies-managed inventories, reducing unnecessary processing while preserving the intended behavior of both projects.

The objective is simple: make the combined Create–MineColonies experience smoother, more reliable, and better suited for long-term worlds and larger automation-driven colonies.

Dependencies & Compatibility

Required Mods

Create: Minecolonies Smart Clipboard requires the following mods:

• Create (6.0.10)
• MineColonies (1.1.1041)

The remaining required libraries, including Structurize, BlockUI, and MultiPiston, are installed automatically as part of the standard MineColonies installation and normally require no additional setup.

Supported Versions

Create: Minecolonies Smart Clipboard has been developed specifically for:

• Minecraft 1.21.1
• NeoForge 21.1.226+
• Create 6.0.10
• MineColonies 1.1.1041

During development, the mod has been successfully used and validated with NeoForge versions 21.1.226 through 21.1.235.

Compatibility Notice

Create: Minecolonies Smart Clipboard has been developed and tested specifically against MineColonies 1.1.1041.

While the mod may function correctly with newer MineColonies releases, compatibility beyond this version has not yet been validated. Until additional testing is completed, MineColonies 1.1.1041 should be considered the supported version for this release.

Installation

Install Create: Minecolonies Smart Clipboard alongside Create and MineColonies on both the client and the server.

Supported environments:

• Single-player
• Multiplayer
• Dedicated servers

For the best experience, use the supported software versions listed above.

Configuration

Create: Minecolonies Smart Clipboard works out of the box using its default settings.

Server configuration is located at:

world/serverconfig/create_colony_logistics-server.toml

Available options:

Changes to the server configuration should be applied after restarting the world or dedicated server.
