Description
Create: FTB Numismatics (Economy Gate)
Are your server's players getting too rich? Is runaway inflation ruining your carefully crafted modpack progression?
Create: FTB Numismatics is a utility mod designed for modpack creators and server admins. It acts as an automatic regulator for your server's economy, integrating Create: Numismatics with FTB Quests to dynamically lock or unlock progression based on the total wealth of your active player base.
✨ Key Features
- Dynamic Server Economy Gating: Sets a hard cap on the total server economy (in Spurs). If the server gets too rich, specific quests (or entire chapters) will automatically lock until the economy stabilizes!
- Smart "Active Player" Tracking: The mod tracks player login activity. It only calculates the wealth of players who have been active within a configurable timeframe (e.g., the last 7 days). You don't have to worry about a billionaire player quitting the server and permanently locking the quests for everyone else.
- Real-time Network Syncing: Uses native FTB Quests networking to instantly lock/unlock quests on the client side the moment the economy crosses your configured threshold.
- Custom Tasks & Rewards: Adds native Task and Reward types for Numismatics coins directly into the FTB Quests GUI, featuring dynamic icons that perfectly match the required coin type.
🛠️ How to use it (For Modpack Makers)
Gating your modpack's progression is incredibly simple:
-
Open your FTB Quests editor in-game.
-
Create a "Hidden" quest (or a general "Server Rules" quest).
-
Add the custom Economy Stability Gate task to this quest.
-
Set any other quests, gear tiers, or entire chapters to have a Dependency on this Gate quest.
-
That's it!
Behind the scenes, the server checks the economy every 10 seconds. If the total active wealth exceeds your config limit, the mod automatically resets the progress of the Gate Task, instantly locking all dependent quests for all teams. Once players spend their money and the economy drops back below the limit, the Gate Task auto-completes, unlocking the progression again!
⚙️ Configuration
You can easily adjust the mod's limits in your server config (create_ftb_numismatics-server.toml):
maxEconomyLimit: The maximum allowed total server economy in Spurs before the safety gate triggers and quests are disabled. (Default: 1,000,000)activeTimeframeDays: How many days a player can be offline before their bank account is excluded from the total economy calculation. (Default: 7)
📦 Dependencies
This mod requires the following to run:
- NeoForge 1.21.1

(This mod is highly recommended for expert-style modpacks and economy-driven multiplayer servers!)
