About

Description

Create Tank Defenses (CTD) aims to add a variety of armor blocks so you can stay protected from pickaxes, explosions and even cannons. The mod adds a bunch of new blocks meant to be used as armor, is best paired in Civilization or VS Vehicles pvp servers. All the features are survival friendly and have balanced crafting recipes.

Some of the features are Solid Armor, block with a lot of Hardness and Resistance Values to withstand a huge punch. Reactive Armor capable of annihilating stuff like Cannon Shells to prevent serious damage, a bunch of materials to diversify on how your armor works and difference on resource prices having them cheaper or more expensive, plus the extras like Tank Hatches, Bulletproof Glass, External Fuel Tanks and way, way more!

This mod was balanced around mods like CBC: Modern Warfare, CBC: Advanced Technologies CBC: More Shells and Tallyho with high values being the only armor block mod made with them in mind.

Solid Armor Blocks:

  • Armor Blocks are cheap blocks capable of defending against Solid Shots, useful for cheap low armored vehicles or areas not so important to defend.

  • Reinforced Armor Blocks are doubled plated armor blocks capable of stopping most cannon shots, but they might require 2 layers to stop a AP Shot.

  • Fortified Armor Blocks are tripled plated armor blocks affected by gravity, they can stop every type of cannon shot with ease but they are affected by gravity, falling if no block is underneath, similar to sand or gravel, they are also really expensive.

Blast Glass Blocks:

  • Blast Glass is a more secure type of glass, capable of protecting you against Autocannons or weak types of cannon shots.

  • Reinforced Blast Glass is a even stronger type of glass capable of stopping even stronger cannon shots while giving you less visibility compared to the regular one.

Reactive Armor Blocks:

  • Composite Reactive Armor is a block capable of destroying projectiles upon impact, as the low complexity of the block has only 45% chance of activating destroying the projectile instantly, but still has a good defense even when does not activate, similar to a Steel Armor Block.

  • Explosive Reactive Armor is armor block filled with a High Explosive material, when a projectile hits it the projectile gets destroyed by the explosion, activates more often compared to Composite Armor making it easy to disarm with a Autocannon or Grapeshot by shooting at them to clear the armor for a AP Shot, as has 85% change of activating making it really good against AP Shots or even HE Shots.

  • Electromagnetic Reactive Armor is a futuristic type of armor capable of using eletricity to destroy projectiles, the armor changes up to 50kFE and uses all of it at once when hit, destroying the projectile preventing destruction, if the armor isn't completly charged when the armor is hit the block will break, its really good against slow fire-rate cannons and struggles a lot against Autocannons and fast firing cannons.

  • Pressurized Reactive Armor behaves similar to Electromagnetic Reactive Armor, but uses fluids instead of FE, you can use any liquid at your choice by pumping it inside using pipes and pumps, when it's full if a projectile hit it the projectile will be destroyed, if isn't full, the block will get destroyed instead, its really good against slow fire-rate cannons and struggles a lot against Autocannons and fast firing cannons.

Cage Armor Blocks

  • Cage Armor is a cheaper armor similar to iron bars, they can be used on areas with low defense to give extra protection, decoration or even as a window.

  • Reinforced Cage Armor is a even stronger type of Cage armor, with less transparent parts but higher blast resistance, can also be used in defensive or decorative ways.

Plastanium Exclusives

  • Bulletproof Glass is similar to Blast Glass, except he has more transparent area in exchange for more resistance, isn't recomended to be used in tanks but on planes instead, as the having less resistance dosen't affect much flying vehicles.

  • Chain Armor Blocks are semi-transparent blocks, the have high blast resistance but low hardness, they can be used as decoration or in areas to stop the danger of explosions.

  • Fire Supression System Block is a simple block that can be filled with water and activated with redstone to extinguish fires in a big radius around the block, beware of the smoke that can start to pile up if you use it too much

  • External Fluid Tanks are huge blocks capable of storing fluids, they can't connect as Create Fluid Tanks do, but have high Blast Resistance and Hardness, making them optimal to store extra fuel on the back or the side of your tank, they also store 16000mb of fluids, double as much of a Create Fluid Tank

  • Tank Hatch are blocks similar to trapdoors, can be opened and closed by right clicking, they have a good resistance value to resist cannon shells, autocannons or even bombs

  • Barbed Wire can be placed around as a cheap way to prevent players and mobs from walking there, slows the entity, prevents it from jumping and damages each second, the damage isn't that high but can be really useful for area denial

Powderbags

  • Powderbags are cheap blocks and best used for improvised defenses or decoration, they can be made out of most powder blocks like sand, gravel, concrete powder, etc; they are able to stop solid shot with ease but are unreliable on bigger calibers. Depending on the powder inside there will be different stats on resistance and hardness.

Materials

  • Steel is a cheap alloy made using coal and iron, can be mass produced and easly farmed, good overall for easy production and no downsides.

  • Titanium is a blue colored metal, can be found underground with a similar rarety as gold, Titanium Armor Blocks are really strong and capable of defending against almost everything, but they require Alpha Titanium to craft, titanium armor can be set on fire and will spread around the whole structure, but takes a huge time to burn.

  • Aluminium is a cheap metal that can be found with ease underground, is used to make Alpha Titanium and Aluminuim Armor in the future, being a cheaper armor option with less resistance but more easily mass-produced.

  • Alpha Titanium is an alloy of Titanium and Aluminium, requires Thermite to be fuzed together in a super-heated mixer basin, is the material needed to make Titanium Armor and can be annoying to mass produce.

  • Plastanium is a versatile alloy made using Titanium and Coal Fluid, can be used to make useful blocks that couldn't be made using Steel or Titanium, but isn't strong enough to craft Solid Armor and too unstable for Reactive Armor

RubyHost Partnership Create Tank Defenses (CTD) aims to add a variety of armor blocks so you can stay protected from pickaxes, explosions and even cannons. The mod adds a bunch of new blocks meant to be used as armor for VS Vehicles. All the features are survival friendly and have balanced crafting recipes.

This mod was made with Create Big Cannons, CBC: Modern Warfare, Eureka! Ships!, Clockwork and Trackwork in mind, so it is possible to make VS Vehicles and have the armor blocks defend againt powerful cannons, but the mod can be used even without those mods.
