Create Trade Depots adds a frontier trade network for Create: Aeronautics.
- Discover generated corporate depots across the world.
- Accept fulfillment contracts and deliver cargo through depot or RIVET interfaces.
- Purchase survey leads and salvage contracts.
- Track down damaged Aeronautics craft for recovery and rebuilding.
- Use depot protection zones to keep each trade hub secure.
Beta release: Core systems are playable, but balance, content, and edge-case behavior are still being tested and may change. Please back up worlds before updating.
getting started: Bonus chest it selected will give you a survey lead which should lead you to your first depot. If no bonus chest, you can sometimes buy a survey lead from a Wandering Trader, but it might be easier to "Persuade" them to drop one for you. Cartographers are known to rarely keep them in there chest. earn coins, buy salvage leads. With luck with 2 or 3 salvages you can fix up your own ship from the parts. for testing purposes salvage leads generate near the depot that creates them. you can change this in the config
Helping out or customizing for your own modpack.
Trade Depots is highly configurable. And I need help with depot varients, decorations, and small aeronatic ships. or if you'd like to use this and add your own for a modpack or private use. details below:
corportations. corporations are in default config. you can modify this. add more, change names. etc
Depots: There is currently only one theme, salvage, the items they will create fulfillment contracts with are located \config\create_trade_depots\themes\salvage
the model is a create schematic saved: \config\create_trade_depots\schematics\salvage\depot
this folder is acts as a random pool the main depot uses to generate.
depot schematics need a depot block placed somewhere accesible. and a numismatic bank block is helpful.
schematics need a 16*16 footprint.
if your ground level is not the bottom layer of the schematic(basements, etc) then place a creative crate/tank on the ground level. the item or fluid in the crate/tank will replace it when generated
Depot tiles: Trade depots are generated in chunk sized "splotches" around the depot. they are random pools just like the depot folder. find them here:
\config\create_trade_depots\schematics\salvage\ the folders are edges, corners, halls, and stubs
Edges: one open side north facing in schematic
Corners: two adjacent open sides N and W in schematic
Halls: two opposite open sides N and S in schematic
Spurs: three open sides W, N, E in schematic
Depot tiles can use the same creative crate/tank mechanisim to define ground level
Ships: Eventually Depots will sell ship designs and other services but for right now it uses saved ships in the \config\create_trade_depots\schematics\ships to generate wrecked versions for salvage leads in the world
ships are the .excraft files that create:toolgun mod makes. with an added .json file of the same name to add details. and determines spawn height in the world. currently "treeline" and "ground" are supported. there is an example .excraft and .json in the folder for the FFS.
