About

Description

This addon expands Cursed Fate by introducing two new gamerules and five progression-control items designed for modpacks and servers.
Its main goal is to make Cursed Fate easier to balance, easier to integrate, and less intrusive for players who don’t want to fully commit to the original progression system.

New Gamerules:
1) Disable Cursed Fate Max HP Changes
2) Special Progression Mode
-Removes any innate techniques player is born with
    -You can't get weapon/melee mastery
-You can't get player level / innate mastery past 0
This gamerule gives modpack creators full control over how fast (or slow) players advance, and prevents Cursed Fate from dominating progression.

Both gamerules are disabled by default:
• /cursedfate Gamerule Healthscaling = true (Cursed Fate can change max HP normally)
• /cursedfate Gamerule LevelCaps = false (standard Cursed Fate progression is untouched)

Progression Items:
These items act as “permissions” to progress further.
They do not spawn naturally and are intended to be placed or configured by modpack/server creators.

Unlock Melee Potential Book – Grants 10 Melee Mastery and allows further leveling
Unlock Weapon Potential BookGrants 10 Weapon Mastery and allows further leveling
Unlock Potential I / II / III / IV
Unlocks level caps 40 / 60 / 80 / 100 (configurable) for Player Level and Innate Mastery
Unlock Innate Technique Potential Book
Gives the player a random innate technique
Reset All Progression Book
Fully resets all Cursed Fate progression

This addon is not designed for default survival play.
Instead, it provides tools that can be integrated with curated progression systems, quests and custom drop tables. Perfect for modpacks, servers, and custom progression-based worlds.

(If there is enough interest, I may add a proper survival progression path in the future.)
(Mod was tested with cursedfate-1.0.28, geckolib-forge-1.20.1-4.8.2, kleiders_custom_renderer-7.4.1-forge-1.20.1, photon-forge-1.20.1-1.1.14, player-animation-lib-forge-1.0.2-rc1+1.20 )
Please use Forge version 47.4.10+

New Features:

Since 0.0.9 you can add support for custom techniques, or remove normal techniques from the roll pool.
You can do it in .minecraft/config with cursedfate_unsealed-common.toml
It's hard to find custom technique string name but usually they are the same as /cursedfate setTechnique command.
For ease of use, these are correct strings of custom techniques, you have to add them to config file yourself.
Wither Rose - "WitherRose"
Projection Sorcery - "ProjectionSorcery"
Kashimo/MBA - "Mythical Amber Beast"
Ichigo/Zangetsu - "Zangetsu"
Reze/Bomb Devil - "BombDevil"

Since 0.1.0 You are able to customize level caps.

Each tier in config file corresponds to:
Tier 0 - no books
Tier 1,2,3,4 - Potential Book I / II / III / IV
(Delete your previous config file for it to work)
