About

Description

Ever wanted your villages to look a bit more... diverse? Those huge noses and static arms are kinda creepy after all. Or maybe you're a livestreamer looking for a new way to engage your viewers?

This mod can achieve just that!

How does it work?

This is extremely easy to do, simply give your villager a custom name. This can be done in 3 ways:

- Summon a villager with a custom name: /summon minecraft:villager ~ ~ ~ {CustomName:"\"SpaceCat97\""}

- Rename the villager using a name tag

- Change the villager's name in GUI (the villager must have a profession). You can also remove the villager's name in GUI.

When the villager has a custom name, the client will search Mojang's API to find the skin of the username you inputted (this is not case sensitive). It will download that skin and store it in the Minecraft instance for easy access (and to avoid unnecessary downloading).

The skin will be applied to the villager, and the villager's model is changed to the player model (or slim, depending on the skin). They still act entirely like normal villagers.

Features + Configurations

- Villagers skins and models change to player skins

- GUI option to change name (this is configurable, and is enabled by default)

- Breeding can be stopped for villagers that have custom names (this is configurable, and breeding is disabled by default)

- Villagers with custom names will have their death announced on the global chat (this is configurable, enabled by default)

- The death announcement can also print coordinates (this is configurable, and is disabled by default)

- Baby villagers also change skin when renamed (and it looks adorable!)

- If the skin is an old format (not 64x64), a warning will print to chat
