DAtime Mod – Custom Day/Night Cycle
No reviews yet
The Datime mod slows down Minecraft's day/night cycle to match real-world time. Specifically, it extends one full Minecraft day (normally 20 minutes) to 1 hour and 30 minutes in real life.
Includes quality of life improvements and small tweaks to enhance and customize gameplay.
Fabric is a mod loader for versions 1.14+ of Minecraft, particularly popular for client side and optimization mods.

🌤️ DAtime : Time Forecast
By default, a full Minecraft day lasts a mere 20 minutes. With DAtime, that cycle is extended to a realistic 1 hour and 30 minutes IRL.
☀️ Daytime
Longer exploration, building, and storytelling moments before the sun sets.
🌙 Nighttime
Survive the prolonged darkness and experience true nocturnal immersion.
⚙️ Technical Barometer (How It Works)
The mod disables vanilla time progression (doDaylightCycle = false) and manually increases time by 0.2222 ticks per server tick (= 4.444 ticks/second instead of 20).
- ✔️ No Performance Hit: Does NOT affect gameplay mechanics.
- ✔️ Vanilla Speed: Everything else (entities, redstone, combat) stays at standard speed.
- ✅ Stable 20 TPS: Server runs normally, only the
timeOfDayis slowed. - 🔄 Full Cycle: 24,000 ticks = 5400 seconds = 90 minutes.
No lag, no desync — just smooth and immersive time control.

⚙️ How it works:
Vanilla time progression is disabled (doDaylightCycle = false).
The mod manually advances the world's time by 0.2222 ticks per server tick, which equals 4.444 ticks per second, instead of the default 20.
This simulates a much slower day/night rhythm without affecting gameplay or server performance.
⏱️ Technical Details:
The server continues running at 20 ticks per second.
Only the world's time (timeOfDay) is modified.
Entities, redstone, player actions, etc., remain at normal speed.
A full cycle (24,000 ticks) now takes 5400 seconds = 90 minutes IRL.
☀️ Day (0–12000 ticks): 45 minutes
🌙 Night (12000–24000 ticks): 45 minutes
