Description

Purpose

The mod lets yours and others skin stay on top even when armor is equipped. This is especially nice if you prioritise aesthetics while maintaining functionality. Allowing you to express yourself and view others with an unobstructed view.

Unlike similar mods that simply lower the armor opacity, this mod completely reworks the rendering order, drawing the skin fully on the armor, this removes the transparent shirt look in other mods.

This also is useful for people who spend a considerable time creating their own skin and do not want their hard work to be hidden.

The mod is highly customizable with combat being considered in development.

The mod also includes additional totem indicator, which provides a tint to how many totems they are currently holding. This can be customized to tint their player/armor and whatever colour.

Features

  • Player skin unobtrusive to view (render on top of armor)
  • Adjustable opacity for Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings, Boots, Left and right hand items.
  • Full bright armor/player (basically disabling lighting)
  • Specific target settings (yourself, others, everyone)
  • Distance until activation
  • Full armor requirement for activation
  • Combat timer deactivation
  • Totem indicator tinting
  • Client side only
  • Key binding for Armor and totem tint!

Multiplayer

Works perfectly in multiplayer, there is a option to render through blocks, although only works in singleplayer and is forcefully disabled in any kind of online mode.

Versions

All of them have the core functionality, to render the skin over the armor and totem tint. Transparency is difficult in every version so a bunch of tinkering takes a long time to fix.

i might try fix versions if people demand it but no guarantees

  • 26.2 (fabric) (latest) pretty stable
  • 26.1.2 (fabric) broken features mainly transparency
  • 1.21.11 (fabric) most stable so far
  • 1.21.1 (neoforge) broken features mainly transparency

Compatibility

Good with:

  • Fresh animations player extensions
  • Modded armor i think (tested create aeronautics stuff)
  • Iris Shaders

Bad with:

  • nothing yet

Inspiration

From Photon Shaders there was an issue where turning on 'Separate Entity Draws' would make your skin render on top of the armor, I really liked this bug and couldn't find a way to replicate this with other mods. So this was created.
