Deaft

Deaft turns Minecraft into a three-player cooperative challenge. Each player is dealt one handicap at the start of the run: one is deaf (world sounds and voices reach them muffled), one is mute (their voice and their chat messages are scrambled for the others), and one is blind (their vision is blurred and the chat unreadable). The goal is to kill the Ender Dragon and make it back to the Overworld — together.

Six items let you claw back some of what you lost, in two tiers. The cane, the note sheet and the sonophone are craftable early and help through the Overworld. The monocle, the megaphone and the hearing aid need Nether quartz and carry you to the End. Every item only helps its own role, and every one of them costs something: mobility, an equipment slot, or a cooldown.

Everything is tunable in game. Press O to open a config menu with about thirty sliders covering the intensity of each handicap, what each item gives back, and the pace of the run. Settings are server-authoritative and shared with every client, so nobody plays with different rules by accident.

Full-screen cinematics frame the run: a slot-machine reveal of your handicap at launch, a victory sequence, and a defeat sequence.
