About
Description
DeathEngine. Realistic Injury, Death, and Revival System
DeathEngine overhauls Minecraft’s health and death mechanics, turning combat into a tense, tactical experience. Vanilla regeneration is disabled by default, and every wound matters. Instead of instantly dying, players collapse into a downed state, giving teammates a narrow window to intervene - but revival requires an adrenaline syringe, and the first 10 seconds allow the injured player to crawl for safety.
Combat & Injury System
- Custom damage and healing framework - suffering wounds like bleeding or shock affects your survival.
- Standard health regeneration is disabled by default (configurable).
- Restore health through realistic items: bandages, medkits, and other medical supplies.
- Adrenaline auto-injector grants the Adrenaline effect, boosting speed and providing shock resistance.
Between Life and Death
- When health reaches zero, the player doesn’t die instantly - they collapse into a downed state.
- While downed, they can be revived within a limited time. If the timer runs out, they die permanently.
- Downed players can surrender, but enemies can also finish them off.
- Revival is only possible with an adrenaline syringe.
- For the first 10 seconds in the downed state, the player can crawl slowly.
After Death. Corpses & Looting
- Player corpses are fully interactable: you can search them (the first search takes time).
- Corpses have two visual states - normal and burned.
- Two death poses are available: prone (on stomach) and supine (on back).
- Corpses can be dragged by sneaking and right-clicking, leaving a blood trail behind as you move them.
- At the moment of final death, a random quote is displayed (inspired by Call of Duty - toggleable in config).
Tools & Customization
- Health Scanner shows the HP of players and villagers within a 12-block radius.
- Hunger can be disabled entirely via the config file.
- Highly flexible configuration - adjust almost every mechanic to your liking.
- Full compatibility with weapon mods, tech mods, and other content additions.
This mod is actively maintained, and player feedback is welcome. Suggest your own ideas in the comments or write to me on discord.
A random quote appears after each permanent death (configurable, can be turned off).
DeathEngine is designed for servers and single-player worlds that demand more grit, strategy, and consequence from every encounter.
