Description

DeathLens is a lightweight, client-side Minecraft Fabric mod that explains the last moments before a player dies.
Version 0.2.0 targets Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.1 and records a 15-second in-memory event timeline. Data is written to disk only after a death.

- Damage, healing, health, absorption and movement context
- Vital trace graph for health and absorption
- Three-step death chain summary
- Attacker, weapon and distance context for newly recorded damage
- Effect and equipment changes
- Detailed cause of death from the final observed damage source
- Visual hotbar, armor/offhand, backpack and active-effect evidence grids
- Death position, dimension and biome snapshots
- Scrollable scene data with the complete inventory list
- Timeline available from the death screen
- Local history capped at 20 deaths

- JSON export suitable for debugging and future integrations
On first launch, DeathLens creates config/deathlens/config.json. The recording window, event cap, history cap and movement sample interval can be adjusted there.
