About

Description

Lets start with what this mod does:
It simply adds a separate keybind for the blocking mechanic of the shield. The default Key is R, but you can change it to whatever fits you best.

This mod fixes an annoying issue that always bothered me when playing Minecraft, especially modded Minecraft. Whenever you use a cool custom weapon, most of the time it has a unique right-click function or ability. This completely overrides the vanilla shield's blocking mechanic and renders your shield useless.

This mod solves that problem. I looked everywhere for a simple mod that fixes this issue, but I never found one, so I decided to make it myself. Now I'm sharing it with you guys.
This mod will likely receive little to no updates, because it already does what its supposed to do.
Fixes will be made where needed, if there is really a problem.
This mod is very useful to me, so I might port this mod to newer and previous versions of the game later on, depending on what version I play most.

Note: You can restore the normal functionality of the shield by unbinding the shield key.

Enjoy! :)
