About
Description
Diagenesis overhauls ore vein and rock generation by making ore veins rarer but much larger and adding additional strategy to mining. Ores and vein types are now divided into a few types:
- Copper/Granite
- Coal/Andesite
- Gold/Diorite
- Iron/Tuff
- Redstone/Smooth Basalt
- Diamond/Blackstone
- Lapis Lazuli/Calcite
- Emerald/Calcite

Underground areas are each assigned to one of these types, similarly but independently from biomes. If you spot one of these stones, you know which ore is nearby. While it might take longer to find the specific ore you are looking for, overall ore distribution should be similar to vanilla as ore veins are significantly larger.
Compatibility
Only affects vanilla ore generation, modded ores will continue generating as they are defined in their mod. May be incompatible with mods that modify ore vein placement or world generation noise settings
