Discreet FPS Display

A minimal client-side mod that shows your current FPS in the top-left corner of the screen, styled to match vanilla Minecraft's HUD text (white text with drop shadow).

Features

• Shows FPS in the top-left corner
• Matches vanilla HUD text style
• Hides automatically when the GUI is hidden (F1)
• Adjustable text size (0.25x - 4.0x) via an in-game config screen (Mods list -> Discreet FPS Display -> Config)
• No keybinds, no commands, no extra HUD clutter — just FPS

Why?

Sometimes you just want to glance at your FPS without opening the F3 debug screen and seeing a wall of information you don't need.

• Client-side only — safe to use on any server, other players don't need it installed

Installation

1. Install Minecraft Forge 1.20.1 (47.x or later)
2. Download the jar below
3. Place it in your .minecraft/mods folder
4. Launch the game with the Forge profile

Configuration

Open the Mods list from the title screen, select "Discreet FPS Display", and click "Config" to adjust the text size with a slider. Changes apply instantly — no restart needed. (Alternatively, edit textScale directly in config/simplefps-client.toml.)
