Description

Doomsday Functionality Extended

Adds survival functionality to the Doomsday Decoration mod — turning its purely decorative furniture and props into usable storage, working beds, and lootable containers, with full config control over loot respawning.

This is a modified fork of the original Doomsday Functionality mod by Raiiiden, licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0.

Features

  • Configurable loot respawn — set how many in-game days it takes for looted containers to refill. Set the value to 0 to disable loot respawning entirely: once a container is looted, it stays empty (or however you left it) for good.
  • Usable seats — you can sit on them by pressing RMB.
  • Usable storage — containers can now have items placed into them, not just looted. Store your own items in cabinets, drawers, crates, and more.
  • Sounds - each container has an opening and closing sound
  • Sleep in decorative beds — right-click bed, medical_bed, and stretcher to sleep, skip the night, and set your spawn point, just like a vanilla bed.
  • Variable inventory sizes — different containers now have differently sized inventories (9, 18, 27, 36, 45, or 54 slots) depending on what kind of object they are, instead of every single container sharing one fixed size.
  • More containers made interactive — several additional blocks that previously did nothing on right-click (e.g. certain cabinets, drawers, and lockers) now open as proper containers.
  • Dynamic Block States — some blocks are replaced with their looted versions if their inventory is empty. If there is loot in their inventory, they are replaced with a version where it is visible that the container is not empty/the doors are closed.
  • Fuel generators — can be fueled and started up. An active generator will power any surrounding Doomsday Decoration light blocks.

Requirements

  • Doomsday Decoration (required dependency — this mod only adds functionality to its blocks)
  • Minecraft 1.20.1
  • Forge

License & Credits

This project is a derivative work based on Doomsday Functionality by Raiiiden, originally licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0. It is redistributed here under the same license.

Changes made from the original: loot-respawn interval can now be set to 0 to disable respawning; containers accept player-placed items; decorative beds/stretchers are now sleepable; container inventory sizes now vary by block type instead of a single fixed size; several previously non-interactive containers were made interactive.

A copy of the Apache License, Version 2.0 is included with the mod's source. No warranty is provided; see the license for the full terms, including limitations of liability.

Support

This is a community modification, not an official release by the original author. Please report issues specific to these changes here rather than on the original mod's page.
