Description

Drag Intent

Rapidly pick up a stack and drag it across slots. When that is a deliberate multi-slot left-drag, Drag Intent lets vanilla finish the distribution rather than interpreting the release as double-click collect-all.

No new keybinds, commands, wheel gestures, sorting or automated item moves. Normal stationary double-click collection, Shift-double-click and right-drag retain vanilla behavior.

Precise scope

  • Vanilla player inventory, crafting table, chest/barrel and shulker screens, exact vanilla menu/screen classes.
  • Left-drag must cross at least two eligible quick-craft slots, finish at least six logical GUI pixels from its start, and begin/end without Shift.
  • 1.21.1 touchscreen mode, creative inventory and custom container screens are excluded.
  • The intervention is inactive whenever Mouse Tweaks is installed, avoiding competing gesture handling. Do not install this expecting it to change Mouse Tweaks gestures.
  • Disable with enabled = false in config/dragintent-client.toml.

The mod changes only the client gesture's double-click interpretation. Vanilla remains responsible for inventory validation, packets and distribution. No server mod needed, no extra network traffic or saved world data.

Available for Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1.265+, Java 21. No 26.3 download released. New beta; bugs may remain. Actual clean NeoForge baseline reproduced the rapid-drag conflict; the exact release distributed 10+10+10 with 2 remaining from a stack of 32 in player inventory and chest. Ordinary double-click and Shift-click were checked. Mouse Tweaks 2.26.1 co-load verified the deliberate inactive behavior. Other supported vanilla families are not each graphically exercised; no remote-server latency/custom-container/full resource-pack or item-component coverage.

MIT, original code/icon by RickCode. No borrowed Mouse Tweaks code/assets; it is a compatibility exclusion, not a dependency.
