Description
DragN's VV: Refueled
Allowing the re-fueling of DragN's Valiant Vehicles
Updates halted until further notice
Apologies to anyone interested or seeing potential in this addon, however in the past months I haven't really been focusing on updating to DragN's VV latest version.
An update is planned, I'm not abandoning it entirely, but I just don't see it happening anytime soon ('soon' in relevance to 07.08.2026)
Notable changes
- Smaller vehicles
- Realistic vehicle control
- Fueling and battery system
- + 2 new items to go along with it
- Collision mechanics
- Many configurable parameters
- And probably more
Specifics
Canister
Able to pickup, place, and hold 2 buckets of any fluid, modded or otherwise
Can also fuel (as well as siphon fuel from) the vehicles via GUI or shift-clicking with the canister in mainhand
Battery
Can hold up to 8.1k FE, able to be charged full by shift-using it on either type of redstone ore
Used to charge the vehicles via GUI in it's appropriate slot
Repair
The vehicles can be repaired only from within their GUI slot.
Taking 4 ingots of iron to repair back 9HP, or any ingot of steel to heal 6HP
Collision -> Blocks
Driving head onto a wall at fast speeds will simply crash your vehicle, stopping it and damaging it
Can also damage the driver in some cases
Collision -> Entities
However, driving through mobs hurts and knocks them back
Controls
Press I to open the vehicle's GUI which displays all necessary info about it
Holding R starts the car, and pressing it again stops it.
Pressing Space while driving aligns the vehicle with the nearest axis, allowing for straight line driving
GUI
Hovering over any of the units/percentages focuses on them, visually displaying it's meter in the bar on the left
Clicking either of them pins them, focusing them if none are hovered over
Also hovering over the fuel stat for a second displays a tooltip telling which type of fuel is currently in the tank
Explosion
When vehicles can no longer take any more damage, they explode
And if they had more than 75% fuel remaining, the explosion will also burn
Speed
All vehicles have differing accelerations, maximum, and even max reverse speeds, but they all benefit from modifier blocks
Blocks with the blockTag refueled:road_blocks are considered as such, which by default includes black and white concrete
Pickup
Vehicles can be picked up by shift clicking with shears (or wrench), but be weary of all the contents spilling out on the ground!
Gas Station
Allows non-direct fueling of vehicles from both front and back of the station.
To fuel using the station, select the vehicle within it's GUI and press the button to start fueling.
Can also be filled using modded fluid items or from outside using various forge fluid transporation systems.
Applicable sides for block filling are the bottom and sides of the gas station.
Default capacity is 20 buckets of fuel with a transfer rate of 100mB per tick.
