DripstoneRecipeFix

Finally, get the most out of your Dripstone Blocks.

A small but handy addition that gives you the one crafting recipe Minecraft was always missing.

Description

Ever found yourself with a stack of Dripstone Blocks and no way to turn them back into individual Pointed Dripstone? Vanilla only lets you go one way. This adds the missing return trip.

Available in three flavours, all doing exactly the same thing: a mod for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, a server plugin for the whole Bukkit family and Sponge, and a plain datapack for everything else. Pick whichever fits your setup.

Simple, clean, and straight to the point.

Added Recipe

Input Output
1x Dripstone Block 4x Pointed Dripstone

Place a Dripstone Block anywhere in your crafting grid and get 4x Pointed Dripstone back. That is the exact reverse of the vanilla recipe, so nothing is created out of thin air and nothing is lost. The recipe is shapeless, unlocks itself in your recipe book once you own either item, and needs no dependencies at all.

Features

Shapeless recipe One dripstone block in, four pointed dripstone out
Recipe book Unlocks automatically, no need to memorise it
Zero dependencies Nothing to install alongside it
Configurable output Server plugin lets you set 1 - 64 per block
In-game toggle /dripstonerecipefix on and off, no restart needed
Folia ready Region-aware scheduling on threaded servers
Lightweight No mixins, no code injection, no world data

Server Plugin

The plugin build adds a bit more control on top of the recipe.

Commands

Command What it does
/dripstonerecipefix on Registers the recipe and saves that choice
/dripstonerecipefix off Removes the recipe again
/dripstonerecipefix status Shows whether it is currently active
/dripstonerecipefix reload Re-reads config.yml and applies it

Aliases: /drf, /dripstonefix. Permission: dripstonerecipefix.admin (default: operators).

Configuration

enabled: true
result-amount: 4
unlock-in-recipe-book: true
metrics: true

Every message the plugin sends can be rewritten in the messages section of config.yml, colour codes included.

Compatibility

Property Info
Minecraft (Mod / Datapack) 1.18 - 26.2
Minecraft (Server Plugin) 1.19.4 - 26.2
Mod Loaders Fabric, Forge, NeoForge, Quilt
Server Platforms Bukkit, Spigot, Paper, Purpur, Folia, Sponge
Dependencies None
Side Server side, clients need nothing

The mod and the datapack ship one file that covers the whole version range through pack overlays. The plugin ships one jar that carries both the Bukkit and the Sponge entrypoint.

Statistics

The server plugin reports anonymous usage data to bStats. Set metrics: false in config.yml to opt out.
