About
Description
Reduced Durability Damage is a small NeoForge utility mod that makes gear last longer without changing the displayed maximum durability of items.
Instead of multiplying item durability values, this mod reduces durability damage as items are used. This avoids problems where modded tools, weapons, or armor may receive inconsistent maximum-durability changes, and it avoids permanently altering item durability values.
Features:
- Reduces durability damage taken by damageable items.
- Applies broadly to tools, weapons, armor, shields, and other items that use normal Minecraft durability behavior.
- Does not change the displayed maximum durability value of items.
- Does not add new items, blocks, ores, enchantments, or crafting recipes.
- Intended to work with both vanilla and modded equipment.
Current behavior:
- Durability damage of 1 remains 1.
- Durability damage above 1 is reduced by roughly half, with a minimum final damage value of 1.
Purpose:
This mod is intended for players who like durability as a mechanic, but do not want armor, weapons, and tools to wear out too quickly in heavily modded combat or survival packs.
