DynamicLights

DynamicLights is a datapack that adds Dynamic Lights to the game.

The whole project is licensed under the MIT License.

Known Issues

  • Lighting does not work when inside a non-solid block.
  • Using two light sources, one in the mainhand and another in the offhand, can cause issues(e.g. Water getting replaced by air).(Fixed in v1.0.1)
  • Pre-placed light blocks can get replaced by air if someone passes near them with a DynamicLights affected item.(Fixed in v1.0.1)
  • Lighting can persist even after no longer holding a light source.(Fixed in v1.0.1)
  • Source water blocks can be generated when holding a underwater light source when in non-source water block.

Why DynamicLights

DynamicLights is fully server-side, doesn't require client-side mods. Works with Vanilla Minecraft.
