About
Description
Want zombies to sometimes drop a diamond, the Wither to drop a stack of your pack's currency, or cows to stop dropping leather? Edit Mob Drops lets you add drops to mobs, or take their normal drops away, from one config file. You don't need to write loot tables or scripts.
Unofficial port of Edit Mob Drops by Powerthegreat, for NeoForge on 1.21.1, 1.21.11, 26.2 and 26.3. Please report bugs here.

How to use it
Start the game once, then open config/editmobdrops/editmobdrops.toml. Chances are percentages, and the parts of each entry are separated by colons.
itemsToAdd: a drop that can come from any mob. modid:item:[componentfile]:min:max:anyMobChance:[monsterChance]:[bossChance]:[group1Chance]:[group2Chance]...
mobGroups: your own groups of mobs, used by the group chances above. modid:mob:modid:mob...
singleMobItems: a drop for one mob type. modid:mob:modid:item:[componentfile]:min:max:chance
mobsToClear: mobs whose normal drops are removed (your added drops still happen). modid:mob
An example:
itemsToAdd = ["minecraft:diamond::1:1:0:2", "minecraft:nether_star::1:1:0:0:100", "minecraft:feather::1:3:0:0:0:50"]
mobGroups = ["minecraft:chicken:minecraft:parrot"]
singleMobItems = ["minecraft:pig:minecraft:gold_nugget::1:4:25"]
mobsToClear = ["minecraft:cow"]
- Monsters have a 2% chance to drop a diamond.
- Bosses always drop a nether star.
- Chickens and parrots have a 50% chance to drop 1 to 3 extra feathers.
- Pigs have a 25% chance to drop 1 to 4 gold nuggets.
- Cows drop nothing.
"Monster" means hostile mobs like zombies, skeletons and creepers. "Boss" means anything in the c:bosses tag, which is the Ender Dragon and the Wither, plus modded bosses that use the tag.
Custom items. To give a drop a name, enchantments or anything else, put its components in an SNBT file in config/editmobdrops/, and put the file name (without .json) in the componentfile slot. For example, lucky.json containing {"minecraft:custom_name": '"Lucky Bone"'} and the entry minecraft:bone:lucky:1:1:100. On 1.21.11 and newer, text is written directly: {"minecraft:custom_name": "Lucky Bone"}. Files from the 1.20 version use the old NBT format and need rewriting.
Set debugMode = true to log every added drop.
FAQ
Client or server? The server needs it (or your game, in singleplayer). Players joining a server don't need it.
Does it need anything else? No.
Can I use it in my modpack? Yes, go ahead, no need to ask.
