Efficient Chops

Building can be relaxing and is sometimes monotonous. Have you ever felt your building flow broken when you realized the blocks you placed were the wrong ones? Have you ever built a tunnel, then realized you have to dig even more just to put stairs in place? You don't need to make the sacrifices.

Efficient Chops provides an easier, less repetitive building experience with several new building tricks. This includes block swapping and block reshaping. By default, the modes can be toggled with the left alt key.

Block Swapping

When replace mode is enabled, any block you hold will be used to replace the blocks you break. This is practical for replacing walls or reorienting certain blocks. You can hold shift to replace blocks which match the one in your hand.

Stair Shaping

You can also carve stairs and slabs out of other blocks when in reshape mode. If you are in survival, a tool is necessary for it to work. When active, cobblestone will become stairs and the stairs will be turned into slabs.

It can take some getting use to, but the result is surprisingly natural. Consider this as one way of solving your building woes.
