Description
Tired of Survival being too boring? Do you want your game to have more mobs that grief? Introducing more creeper variants!
Elemental Creepers Redux features a large variety of new creepers based on different elements. It backports the creepers from Elemental Creepers OG by xSmallDeadGuyx, and introduces its own features and changes to have a more definitive Elemental Creepers mod for 1.12.2.
Classic Elemental Creepers
The recognizable cast of creepers since the original Elemental Creepers mod!
You can befriend Friendly Creepers with gunpowder! Right-click on tamed Friendly Creepers with an empty hand to make them sit or use gunpowder to heal them. You can also use gunpowder to breed them for baby variants.
- Cookie Creeper: Entirely made out of cookies! It won't harm you when it explodes but you'll be provided a few cookies.
- Dark Creeper: Hates anyone lighting up dark areas, be sure not to let it explode near light sources or it will destroy them. Otherwise its explosion is harmless.
- Earth Creeper: Hates tunnels and large caves, it will explode into a large pile of dirt.
- Electric Creeper: It will conduct lightning on all mobs around it when it explodes. Watch out if there's other creepers nearby!
- Fire Creeper: Hates forests, and spreads fire everywhere after exploding.
- Friendly Creeper: Likes to be left alone rather than engage in conflict like the rest of its brethren, it also has the ability to explode without dying or destroying terrain.
- Ghost Creeper: Vengeful and back from the dead. These spirits don't destroy terrain from their explosions but will still deal a large amount of damage.
- Illusion Creeper: Sneaky, and splits up to five. Which one of them is real?
- Light Creeper: This creeper is obsessed with glowstone and explodes into a pile of it! Be sure not to let it trap you if you want to collect all that glowstone.
- Magma Creeper: The Fire Creeper's more evil cousin. Just make sure you have something to protect you from its lava explosion.
- Psychic Creeper: Launches everything around it after exploding. It can launch you pretty far if you're too close to the explosion range!
- Reverse Creeper: It was said to come from a strange dimension… It will flip everything it explodes on to the opposite side.
- Spider Creeper: The result of a failed experiment, these mutated creepers will spread its webs and inflict poison after exploding. It can also climb like normal spiders can.
- Water Creeper: Loves water parks, hates deserts. It'll explode into water and make a big mess if you have plants and torches everywhere.
- Winter Creeper (Formerly Ice Creeper): The sole quest of this creeper is to turn everything into a snow biome! It will explode into snow layers, and freeze water and lava.
New Elemental Creepers
Coming soon to future updates near you…
Other Features
Extra features that make this port a little more unique.
- Extra sounds and details like a fading animation for Ghost Creepers
- Many config options to adjust attributes, adjust spawning conditions, and even turn off creepers you don't want
- Quality of life, with some adjustments to balancing for Survival, and additional drops to make them a little more rewarding
- The classic explosion sound from Beta as a config option for most creepers
Spawn Conditions
Some creepers were adjusted to only spawn under certain conditions to make them not get too in the way of vanilla mobs. If you want them to spawn everywhere again like in older versions, you can enable Classic Spawning in the config file for all the affected creepers.
Be sure to also disable other spawn conditions as well, such as Surface Spawning and Underground Spawning.
Cookie Creeper: Rarely spawns anywhere.
Dark Creeper: Spawns anywhere underground.
Earth Creeper: Spawns anywhere underground.
Electric Creeper: Spawns anywhere at the surface.
Fire Creeper: Spawns in the Nether.
Friendly Creeper: Spawns anywhere at the surface.
Ghost Creeper: Spawns in SPOOKY type biomes, also rarely spawns when killing any creeper.
Illusion Creeper: Spawns anywhere.
Light Creeper: Rarely spawns in the Nether.
Magma Creeper: Spawns in the Nether.
Psychic Creeper: Spawns in HILLS and MOUNTAIN type biomes at the surface.
Reverse Creeper: Spawns anywhere uncommonly, also spawns in the End's outer islands.
Spider Creeper: Spawns anywhere underground.
Water Creeper: Spawns in BEACH, OCEAN, and RIVER type biomes.
Winter Creeper: Spawns in SNOWY type biomes.

Q&A
Q: Will this be ported or backported to x version?
A: I don't have plans for this. You can check out Elemental Creepers OG for 1.16.5+ versions and the Elemental Creepers port for 1.7.10.
Q: What happened to all the creepers from the 1.7.10 port? (Wind Creeper, Hydrogen Creeper, Ender Creeper, etc.)
A: As these creepers were considered unofficial and are not in Elemental Creepers OG, they are omitted. There are plans to include new creepers in future releases of the mod though.
