Elytra Feather Falling

Make Elytra compatible with Feather Falling and soften Elytra descent by scaling gravity (not by adding artificial upward boost).

What this mod does

• Lets Elytra accept the Feather Falling enchantment.
• While fall-flying, Feather Falling reduces effective downward gravity:
  • Level I: 15%
  • Level II: 30%
  • Level III: 45%
  • Level IV: 60%
  • Keeps vanilla glide feel by modifying gravity input, not injecting upward velocity.

Compatibility

• Minecraft: 26.1 - 26.1.2
• Mod loader: Fabric Loader 0.19.x
• Dependencies: Fabric API
• Java: 25+

Installation

1. Install Fabric Loader for your Minecraft version.
2. Install Fabric API.
3. Put this mod .jar in your mods folder.
4. Start the game.

For multiplayer, install it on both server and client to keep motion behavior consistent.

How to use

1. Enchant a book with Feather Falling (or otherwise obtain one).
2. Combine the book with an Elytra in an anvil.
3. Fly with Elytra: you should descend more slowly as Feather Falling level increases.

Notes

• No config file is required.
• Gravity scaling is skipped for spectator mode, creative flight, and while Slow Falling is active.
