Description
Emerald armor is crafted from emerald blocks and is comparable to diamond armor with some differences.
Armor Stats
| Stat | Emerald | Diamond |
|---|---|---|
| Helmet Defense | 3 | 3 |
| Chestplate Defense | 8 | 8 |
| Leggings Defense | 6 | 6 |
| Boots Defense | 3 | 3 |
| Total Defense | 20 | 20 |
| Armor Toughness | 2.0 | 2.0 |
| Base Durability | 37 | 33 |
| Enchantability | 20 | 10 |
Highlights:
- Higher durability than diamond
- Same protection as diamond
- Twice diamond's enchantability
- Repairable with emerald blocks
- Added to the vanilla Combat creative tab
- Crafted from emerald blocks (expensive but renewable via villager trading)
Crafting
Standard armor crafting patterns using Emerald Blocks instead of ingots.
Pandorical
Emerald Armor uses Pandorical to sync its custom item assets (textures) to clients. Pandorical is required on both the server and every client; there is no vanilla-client fallback. Armor stats and functionality are unaffected either way; Pandorical governs only how the armor is rendered.
What the village makes of it
With village-quests installed, a village whose entire economy is emeralds gets to look at somebody wearing two hundred and sixteen of them, and is not moved. That mod's argument is that standing cannot be bought, so the most expensive thing anyone has ever worn through town buys exactly nothing, and nobody is rude about it either. They are tradespeople looking at a material.
The armorer has priced it out and will tell you it stops what diamond stops, not a point more, and that the only honest reason to own it is that it takes an enchantment about twice as well. The cleric has buried people who owned less than one of your sleeves. The farmer's wheat does not care.
Emerald tools are noticed too, by registry id, so the toolsmith has something to say when one is in your hand and nothing to say when emerald-tools is not installed.
A Fabric mod that adds armor made from emerald blocks.
