Description
Emerald Isle Flora adds flora inspired by Ireland to Minecraft, currently featuring three flowers, each with a bushier "grown" stage. See the gallery for a side-by-side look at all four flower variants for each flower.
What's in the mod right now
- Bells of Ireland, a decorative flower found naturally in Plains and Meadow biomes. Grants Regeneration in Suspicious Stew, and crafts into green dye.
- Bog Rosemary, found naturally in Swamp and Mangrove Swamp biomes. Grants Nausea in Suspicious Stew, and crafts into pink dye.
- Bulbous Buttercup, found naturally in Plains, Sunflower Plains, and Meadow biomes. Also grants Nausea, and crafts into yellow dye.
- Each flower has a bushier grown variant, reached by using bone meal on a planted (or potted) flower - works by hand or via a dispenser loaded with bone meal. Using bone meal again on an already-grown flower drops an extra flower without reverting the block, making it a small renewable source. This can be turned off in the config if you'd rather it stay purely decorative.
- All three species (and their grown variants) generate naturally in the world, and can spawn already in their grown stage — Bog Rosemary skews toward younger single-bloom patches, Bulbous Buttercup skews toward denser, more established stands, matching how each plant actually spreads in real life.
- All stages of all three flowers compost (the grown stage at a higher rate) and are plantable on grass or dirt, potted in a flower pot, or used as an ingredient in Suspicious Stew.
- A config screen, available through Mod Menu if you have it installed, to toggle the bone-meal harvesting behavior.
Requirements
- Fabric API - required
- Cloth Config - required
- Mod Menu - optional, only needed for the in-game config screen
Compatibility
Minecraft 1.20.1, Fabric loader. Needed on both client and server - this mod adds real blocks and items, not just client-side visuals, so it isn't client-only.
