EMI Ore Generation
No reviews yet
Adds an Ore Generation tab to EMI showing where ores really spawn, read from your pack's worldgen. Depth charts, dimensions, biomes, drops, and vein contents. Works with vanilla and modded ores plus GregTech veins. Biome and dimension views too.
Includes quality of life improvements and small tweaks to enhance and customize gameplay.
Neoforge is a fork of the Minecraft Forge available for versions 1.20.1+ of Minecraft. Many Forge mods are compatible with Neoforge and vice versa.

Description
EMI Ore Generation
Ever installed forty mods and had no idea where anything spawns anymore? This adds an Ore Generation tab to EMI that tells you, read straight from your world's actual worldgen instead of a wiki that may not match your pack.
Look up any ore to see the depth it generates at on a chart, cycle through the dimensions and biomes it appears in, and read off how common it is, how big the veins are, and what each vein is actually made of. It works with vanilla, modded ores, and GregTech veins alike, because it reads what your pack really does instead of shipping a fixed list.
What you get
Ore Generation. One page per ore. Depth chart, what it drops when mined, and every source that produces it. Arrows cycle the dimensions and biomes it spawns in. Each source shows its size, how often it turns up, and for vein ores, how much of the vein it makes up.
Ore Veins. One page per GregTech vein: its contents, each ore's share, the spawn range, and the surface rock that marks it. Replaces GregTech's own diagram by default so you aren't looking at two versions of the same thing. Toggle in the config if you prefer GregTech's.
Biome Generation. One page per biome, listing everything that generates there. Answers the "I'm standing here, what's under me" question.
Dimension Generation. The same thing for a whole dimension.
The pages link to each other. Click a biome or dimension name on an ore page to jump to that region. Click a vein name to open the vein.
Supported mods
Anything using standard worldgen is picked up automatically, with no specific support needed. That covers vanilla, Create, Mekanism, Terralith, Regions Unexplored, Northstar and most others.
There is dedicated handling for the systems that don't use standard worldgen:
- GregTech CEu Modern (ore veins, bedrock ores, bedrock fluids, surface rocks)
- Immersive Engineering (excavator mineral deposits)
- Immersive Petroleum (oil reservoirs)
- The Factory Must Grow (oil deposits)
All of these are optional. The mod works with none of them installed.
Configuration
Everything is toggleable: GregTech indexing, the vein diagram replacement, each optional mod integration, the biome coverage threshold for large biome packs, and how many sources list before paging.
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.21.1
- NeoForge
- EMI
Notes
With GregTech installed, vanilla ores like coal and iron don't spawn as vanilla features. GregTech replaces them with its veins. This mod reports that honestly, so those ores show their GregTech veins instead of generation that won't happen.
Some mods keep their deposits in config files with nothing readable in the game's registries. Large Ore Deposits is one. Those can't be indexed, and the mod notes it in the log instead of showing wrong numbers.
