Description
Emote Phase Sync (Server)
Two players, two different emotes, perfectly in sync — with zero client-side install. This is the server-side version of Emote Phase Sync: install it once on your server, and every player who already has Emotecraft gets these features automatically.
/pairdance — sync two DIFFERENT emotes together
This is the headline feature. Ever wanted two players to dance together using two different animations — like a leader and a follower — and have them actually start at the exact same moment? /pairdance does that, entirely server-side:
- Player A invites Player B with
/pairdance <player>(must be within 5 blocks). - B gets a chat message with clickable [Accept] / [Decline] buttons — plain vanilla chat, no mod needed on B's end.
- While waiting for a response, both players play a neutral "waiting" animation, built into the mod — nobody needs to have any emote file installed for this part.
- Once accepted, each player picks whatever real emote they want, whenever they're ready.
- The moment BOTH are playing a real emote, the server restarts both animations at the exact same tick — perfectly synced, even though they're different emotes.
Extra polish included: a 5-second cooldown between invites, a 50-second invite timeout, a 2-minute timeout if nobody picks a dance after accepting, automatic cancellation if either player disconnects, dies, or walks too far away, a sound cue when you receive an invite, an opt-out command (/pairdance off) if you don't want to be invited, and action bar status messages while waiting.
Automatic phase-sync — same emote, perfect timing
The other half of the mod: when two nearby players are playing the SAME looping emote, the server automatically corrects the phase of whoever started second, so both end up dancing in the same beat instead of drifting out of sync. Fully automatic, no command needed — just emote near someone already dancing.
Why server-side?
- Players install nothing beyond Emotecraft, which they already need to emote in the first place.
- One install for the whole server, instead of asking every player to grab a client addon.
- The server sees both players at once, so there's a single source of truth deciding when to sync — no race conditions between two independent clients guessing at each other's state.
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.21.1
- NeoForge
- Emotecraft 2.4.x
Install ONLY on the server. Players connect with a completely vanilla client (plus Emotecraft) — no addon required on their end.
