Description

Title

Enhanced Playthrough is an overhaul mod, with a new progression system and trading mechanics, but the game loop remains very much similar to vanilla Minecraft. The final boss is, still, the Ender Dragon and the main objective is player's freedom to do anything they want.

Additions to the base game

  • Adapted start: Now stones doesn't drop its full block, instead it drops cobble pieces. You need to combine them with Vegetal fibber, dropped by certain plants, in order to make the classic stone tools.
  • Alloys and combinations: The new alloy system lets you make metals like bronze or the magical golden alloys. These metals are, sometimes, a side tier of the vanilla ones, and others are a required step in order to progress.
  • Not a way, but a journey: You have multiple ways of getting your objective. Do you want to mine faster? You can craft a beacon or make a golden alloy, the decision is yours. Do you need more durability for your tools? You can enchant them, upgrade its tier or make them have an aluminum handle. The mod never will impose you a choice.
  • More trades, more effort: New gems have appeared on the world, and the villagers changed his economy to adapt to the needs.

Common questions

  • Can i use this mod on modpacks?: Of course, the mod is under the MIT licence, and you're free of doing what you want with him. The only condition is to give credits to the authors, after you do that, nothing is restricted.
  • Can i share feedback or an idea?: Sure! You can report a bug, make a comment or share a thought on the Discussions page.
  • I want to make a fork of the mod adding a new Steel dragon, i am allowed?: Forks of the original mod are allowed whenever credits are provided. The mod's license is MIT after all.

Compatibility

Enhanced Playthrough is compatible with the following mods:

  • Farmer's Delight
  • Biomes o' Plenty
  • Serene Seasons
  • Natures Compass
  • Explorers Compass

However, these mods aren't compatible with Enhanced Playthrough and will crash the game when used together:

  • Re-chiseled

Additional notes

  • If you are lost and don't have any idea of how to progress, you can visit the Enhanced Playthrough's Wiki to find more information about anything the mod has to offer.
  • Enhanced Playthrough is still in development fase, so if you have any ideas or you what to contribute, feel free to contact me through all the medias. Thanks for playing!
