Description
ENTITY OPTIMIZATION
See only what matters. Render less. Play smoother.
EntityOptimization is a client-side Minecraft optimization mod designed to reduce unnecessary rendering work for entities and block entities that are hidden from the player's view.
Minecraft already performs basic visibility checks, but mobs, chests, banners, and other block entities can still consume valuable client resources when completely hidden behind walls, floors, ceilings, or other solid objects.
EntityOptimization takes visibility optimization further by using asynchronous visibility calculations to determine what the player can actually see, helping reduce unnecessary rendering and improve frame-time efficiency.
Less unnecessary work. Better frame times. Smoother gameplay.
✨ FEATURES
🚀 ASYNCHRONOUS VISIBILITY TRACING
EntityOptimization performs visibility calculations asynchronously to help keep visibility checks away from the main rendering path.
🔹 Uses background CPU threads where possible
🔹 Continuously updates visibility as you move
🔹 Reduces unnecessary rendering in entity-heavy areas
🔹 Designed to minimize noticeable pop-in
🔹 Optimized for modern Minecraft rendering
⚡ ENTITY RENDERING OPTIMIZATION
Reduce rendering overhead from entities that are completely hidden from view.
👁️ Culls hidden entities
⚙️ Reduces unnecessary rendering operations
🐄 Useful around mob farms, villages, and large builds
🛠️ Configurable optimization behavior
🔧 Designed to work alongside other performance mods
EntityOptimization does not modify server-side entity logic, mob AI, spawning, or farm mechanics.
🧱 BLOCK ENTITY OPTIMIZATION
Large builds can contain hundreds or thousands of block entities.
EntityOptimization can optimize hidden block entities such as:
📦 Chests
🛢️ Barrels
🪧 Signs
🚩 Banners
🔥 Furnaces
🧱 Other supported block entities
🛠️ HIGHLY CONFIGURABLE

🔌 Compatibility options
Configuration options may vary between Minecraft versions and loaders.
🌳 TREAT LEAVES AS SOLID
EntityOptimization can optionally treat leaves as solid during visibility calculations.
This can improve culling effectiveness in:
🌲 Forests
🌱 Tree farms
🏞️ Large custom forests
🌿 Foliage-heavy builds
📈 PERFORMANCE
EntityOptimization is particularly useful when Minecraft has to render large numbers of entities or block entities.
🎯 BEST USE CASES
🐄 Large animal farms
🧟 Mob farms
🏘️ Villages
🏰 Large builds
📦 Storage rooms
🌲 Dense forests
🏙️ Entity-heavy servers
🔥 Areas with many block entities
💡 HOW DOES IT WORK?
If an entity is completely hidden behind a solid object, there is usually no visual reason for your GPU to render it.
EntityOptimization attempts to identify these situations and reduce unnecessary rendering work.
Better visibility decisions → Less unnecessary rendering → Better frame times.
Actual performance improvements depend on your hardware, Minecraft version, render distance, entity count, and installed mods.
🔌 COMPATIBILITY
EntityOptimization is a client-side optimization mod.
It does not need to be installed on the server.
🧩 DESIGNED TO WORK WITH
🟢 Sodium
🌈 Iris
⚡ ImmediatelyFast
🔧 Other client-side optimization mods
Compatibility can vary depending on your Minecraft version and mod combination.
If you experience visual glitches, try temporarily disabling other entity-culling or rendering mods to identify potential conflicts.
📦 INSTALLATION
1️⃣ Install the required mod loader for your Minecraft version.
2️⃣ Install any dependencies listed on the CurseForge project page.
3️⃣ Download the correct EntityOptimization version.
4️⃣ Place the .jar file into your Minecraft mods folder.
5️⃣ Launch Minecraft.
EntityOptimization only needs to be installed on the client.
❓ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Does EntityOptimization need to be installed on the server?
No.
EntityOptimization is completely client-side. Players can use it without requiring the server owner to install the mod.
Does it remove entities?
No.
Entities are not deleted or removed from the world.
EntityOptimization only reduces rendering of entities that are determined to be outside the player's visible view.
Will it break mob farms?
It should not.
The mod does not modify:
🐾 Mob spawning
🧠 Mob AI
🔴 Redstone
⚙️ Farm mechanics
🌎 Server-side entity logic
It only affects client-side visibility and rendering.
Does it affect other players?
No.
Other players continue to exist and function normally on the server.
The optimization only changes what your client needs to render.
Can EntityOptimization improve FPS?
It can, especially in areas containing many entities or block entities.
Actual results depend on your hardware and how much unnecessary rendering is occurring.
EntityOptimization primarily targets rendering efficiency and frame times rather than guaranteeing a specific FPS increase.
Can I use EntityOptimization with Sodium?
Yes.
EntityOptimization is designed for modern performance-focused setups and can be used alongside Sodium and similar optimization mods.
However, multiple mods performing similar culling operations may occasionally cause compatibility issues.
Does it support older Minecraft versions?
Support depends on the Minecraft version and the project's development roadmap.
Older versions may not be supported because Minecraft's rendering systems can differ significantly between versions.
⚠️ KNOWN LIMITATIONS
EntityOptimization relies on client-side visibility calculations.
Very aggressive settings may occasionally cause:
👻 Brief entity pop-in
🔄 Delayed rendering when turning quickly
🖥️ Visual issues with unusual rendering mods
⚠️ Compatibility problems with heavily modified rendering pipelines
If you encounter visual problems, try reducing the optimization level or disabling the relevant feature.
🧪 PERFORMANCE DISCLAIMER
EntityOptimization does not guarantee a specific FPS increase.
Performance depends on many factors, including:
🧠 CPU performance
🎮 GPU performance
💾 RAM allocation
📏 Render distance
🌎 Simulation distance
👾 Entity count
🧱 Block entity count
✨ Shader usage
🎨 Resource packs
🔧 Other installed mods
The goal of EntityOptimization is to reduce unnecessary rendering work and improve frame-time efficiency, not to guarantee a fixed performance improvement on every system.
