Ethereal Discovery is a lightweight Minecraft mod that transforms finding new items into a more immersive and rewarding experience.

Inspired by RPG item discovery systems, the mod introduces an elegant notification whenever you obtain an item for the first time, displaying its name, rarity, category, and icon through a beautifully designed interface.

Whether you're discovering a simple wooden sword or a legendary artifact, every new item becomes part of your adventure.

Automatic Rarity Detection

Ethereal Discovery recognizes six rarity levels:

  • Common
  • Uncommon
  • Rare
  • Epic
  • Mythic
  • Legendary

Rarity can be determined through supported item metadata, NBT tags, native rarity values, and recognizable rarity names.

Item Categories

Items are automatically organized into categories, including weapons, tools, armor, accessories, magic items, relics, consumables, and more.

Each category features its own carefully designed icon, integrated into the discovery interface.

Modded Item Support

Ethereal Discovery is designed to work with both vanilla and modded items.

Its category and rarity systems can recognize supported metadata and item information, with additional integration options for custom modded items.

Compatibility may vary depending on how individual mods store their item data.

Discovery History

  • Tracks previously discovered items.
  • Prevents repeated notifications for known items.
  • Supports discovery history resets.
  • Queues multiple discoveries for an organized presentation.
