Description

Evo

Have your playthroughs ever become too industrial leading to probable global air pollution and global warmining?
Well now you can have deadly air pollution and global warmining! And if you are super irresponsible a apocalpyse too if you want!

Through your actions in your world, the environment can gain or lose pollution in the atmosphere (measured in parts per million, ppm)

From the MCreator x CurseForge ModJam, Evo focuses on air pollution with some aspects of ground pollution, doing negative actions listed below will make air pollution worse, opposite to the positives. If something is too toxic it will also produce pollution blocks which will slowly rise to the top of your world producing further pollution over time. Pollution blocks disappear eventually, but be careful as with enough it will start raining toxic waste which can spawn pollution monsters.

Your world has 4 stages as follows

Neutral: 200ppm

Everything is normal,

Passive: 500ppm

Gain pollution sickness I effect and occasionally get slowness, mining fatigue or weakness. A minor inconvenience

Invasive: 1,000ppm

Pollution sickness II includes more frequent effects and rarely poison or blindness. (Every few minutes on average)

Pollution monsters will start spawning, they are faster, stronger and more durable than your average monster. The monsters are all tainted black with pollution.

Apocalpyse: 10,000ppm

Ok, seriously, you have to be intentionally being bad to the environment to get it this bad. Anyway, the world around you will burn, blocks will change and decay.

Pollution sickness III makes the game annoying to play with withering effects and occasional suffocation damage. If you get it this bad you are officially a criminal to the environment.

Pollution Offsets

Positives:
  • Growing trees
  • Growing crops

Plants remove carbon pollution through the atmosphere through a process called photosynthesis.

Negatives
  • Explosions, Release large amounts of pollutants from destroyed structures and from the explosion itself
  • Mining large amounts (Quarrying out chunks) Mining large areas can have massive ecological effects destroying ecosystems and the natural order
  • Furnaces (Through the burning of fuels (Usually hydrocarbons)
  • Using the burner block (Later stated, a block that generates energy through the burning of fuel)

Blocks!

The mod features many blocks some generating power, others offset carbon emissions through methods such as carbon capture.

  • Burner (A block that generates energy through the burning of fuel)
  • Evo Panel (Basically solar panels, they generate energy from the sun during the day and when it is clear weather)
  • Wind trap (Generates energy from having air blocks around it)
  • Industrial Wind Trap (Same as above but better)
  • Air contactor (Used in carbon capture, inputting energy into the block and giving it air blocks it will start pulling pollution from the air)

Further Information

I recommend using the mod JEI to know the recipes whilst using the mod, as the recipes aren't in the recipe books

For any questions feel free to join my mod's discord server after the Mod Jam, I will continue to develop the mod.
