Introduction
ExBingo is a NeoForge 1.21.1 port of Yet Another Bingo, providing a multiplayer Bingo item-hunt game mode.
This mod keeps the upstream mod's main gameplay, resources, and data layout, and add compatibility for more mods.
During the port, ExBingo rewrote a large portion of the upstream mod's code, so some features and behavior differ from the original mod.
Integrations
Mod integrations
- JEI: opens item recipe views from bingo card targets.
- Simple Voice Chat: manages voice groups by team.
- Xaero's Minimap / World Map: on returning to the lobby after a round, the round's explored map cache and waypoints are cleared automatically.
Provides a dedicated board and detailed difficulty tiers
- Farmer's Delight
- Twilight Forest
- L_Ender's Cataclysm
- Ice and Fire
- Eternal Starlight
- Qliphoth Awakening
- The Bumblezone
- Mowzie's Mobs
- Cult of Azazel
- Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks
- The Undergarden
Card content compatibility
ExBingo recognizes other mods' items and advancements out of the box, and handles card content with these rules:
- Categorized modded content (present in a tier list) appears on cards normally.
- Uncategorized modded content is kept off cards by default, to avoid flooding the game with unbalanced content.
- Unbreakable blocks (bedrock, barrier, command blocks, ...) are kept off cards by default.
- Vanilla behavior is unchanged.
When you have OP permission, you can run /bingo autotier generate to auto-classify uncategorized modded content by how hard it is to obtain (it never changes vanilla content, mod-provided tiers, or anything already assigned).
Disabling a board
Each board is a filter preset (e.g. items, farmersdelight, twilightforest, cataclysm). Ops can disable boards they don't want; a disabled board never appears in the board-selection menu and is never included by any "select all":
/bingo carddisable <board>— disable a board./bingo carddisable list— list the currently disabled boards./bingo cardenable <board>— re-enable a board.
The disabled set is stored server-side in the disabledFilterPresets field of config/exbingo/config.json. It applies immediately and persists across restarts, with no /reload needed. You can also edit that field directly (a list of board ids).
Configuration Files
Server-side configuration lives in the world/server config/exbingo/ directory and can be edited directly with a text editor:
config/exbingo/config.json— main config. For example, excludeModUncategorizedFromCardscontrols whether uncategorized modded content is excluded by default, excludeUnbreakableBlocksFromCardscontrols unbreakable-block exclusion, revealAllAdvancementscontrols whether the vanilla advancement tree (the "L" screen) shows every advancement from the start instead of hiding entries until their prerequisites are unlocked (on by default), and auto-tier parameters live under theautoTierblock, and disabled boards underdisabledFilterPresets.config/exbingo/tierlists/*.tierlist.json— tier lists, split intoS/A/B/C/D;autotier.tierlist.jsonis generated by auto-tiering.config/exbingo/game-options.json— board and match options.
Run /reload or restart the server to apply changes. These files are tracked by ExBingo: mod updates sync automatically to files you haven't edited, but once you edit a file, it is no longer overwritten and your changes are preserved.
