About
Description
This mod transforms the Minecraft survival experience by introducing a cohesive and challenging system centered on brutal close-quarters combat, a dangerous environment, and the constant struggle to secure a safe haven. It’s not just a collection of items; it's a new gameplay loop focused on risk, resource management, and resilience.
IN DEV!!!!!
1. The Arsenal of Desperation (Melee Weapons):
-
Machetes: Your go-to tool for efficiency. They offer a balance of speed and damage, perfect for clearing brush (with enhanced leaf-breaking) and fending off sudden threats. Some variants might cause bleeding, dealing damage over time.
-
Various Clubs: From simple wooden cudgels to spiked batons, these are weapons of control. They have a higher chance to "stun" or knock back enemies, creating precious space to breathe or escape. They're often more durable and easier to repair than bladed weapons.
-
The Sledgehammer: The ultimate high-risk, high-reward tool. It's slow and drains hunger quickly, but it can break certain blocks (like cobblestone or wood planks) faster in a pinch and delivers crushing blows that can one-hit-kill weaker mobs or heavily armor others. It’s also your best friend for quickly dismantling your own defenses if you need to make a fast redesign.
2. A Hostile World (The Infection System):
This is the mod's core survival mechanic, making the environment itself your greatest enemy.
-
Thermal Infection: Contracted by spending too long in extreme biomes without protection. Symptoms include a blurry screen (heat haze/chills), and eventual health drain.
-
Biological Infection: A nasty disease transmitted by the new mob or from consuming contaminated food/water. It causes hunger to deplete faster, random nausea, and weakens your attacks. Requires crafting Antibiotics from rare resources found in the world.
-
Radiation Infection: The most dangerous and persistent threat.
3. Securing Your Sanctuary (Base Defense Blocks):
These aren't just stronger walls; they are interactive defense systems.
-
Reinforced Walls/Doors: Higher blast resistance than obsidian but require special alloys to craft.
-
Barbed Wire Fencing: Placed like a panel, it slows down and damages any mob (or player!) that walks through it.
4.Something very terrible is happening on the other side of the world...
What This Mod Provides & Why It's Special:
It creates a focused and intense survival narrative. You start by crafting a basic club to defend yourself. You quickly learn to fear the new mob and the infections it carries. You are driven to explore to find rare resources, not for diamond armor, but for Antibiotics or Radiation Shielding. Your entire building focus shifts from aesthetics to practical fortification; you're building a fortress against a tangible, mechanical threat, not just a pretty house.
The simplicity is its strength. It doesn't add 100 mobs or dimensions. It adds one meaningful mob, a few crucial tools, a debilitating status system, and the blocks to counter them. This creates deep, interconnected gameplay where every system supports the others, forcing the player to engage with all aspects of the mod to survive and thrive. It’s a compact, well-rounded package that changes how you play rather than just adding more things to do.
- I will be glad to hear your comments and your ideas and reports on various bugs!
- But, I haven't finished this project...
