About

Description

Welcome, traveler, to a fantastic world full of mythical creatures.
Discover new beings and speak with them — some may become your companions along the journey, while others might share stories about this world or about themselves. Explore the land, find new biomes and structures. Seek out villagers' notes in villages to uncover the mod's lore, or simply have fun with everything it has to offer.

 What the mod adds:

New ores, armor, and tools:

- Auripigment — poisonous, but a sword made from it poisons others, while the armor grants extra hearts.
- Silver — weaker than iron, but wearing its armor allows you to strike fear into the undead.
- Moon Gem — as rare as diamonds and found only in the lunar biome. At night, your tools become stronger, and the armor provides a special effect.
- Ice Dragon Fur — durable and warm armor that lets you walk on water as if it were solid ground. However, this material is rare and can only be bought from wandering traders at a high price.

 Structures:

Find ruins in the new biome, visit the Tea Master's cottage in the cherry grove, or step inside the Fox Shrine — along with several other buildings added to the world

 New mobs:

- Moon Deer — spirits of the Blue Moon Forest (the mod's new biome) and its guardians. The moon grants them power, allowing them to walk on water at night. They may become your companions on the road.
- Kitsune — protectors of villagers and lone travelers against monsters. Neutral toward players unless provoked. They can apply effects to themselves and attack with fire. To gain their companionship, you must offer them plenty of tofu — then they will travel with you.
- Bakeneko — unusual cats that can walk on two legs and open doors. Keep your chests safe, as they may steal items from them. They are independent and will not become your companions. It's best not to take items from them.

 Main feature of the mod:

You can talk to the mod's mobs. Some may tell you the history of a place, others a legend or something about themselves — if you ask.Dialogue is not the only way: when you interact with mob in a chat, you will see how they react. In some cases, mobs may even tell you about certain blocks from the mod if you click on them — for example, a Kitsune companion will share information about fox statues when you click on one.
Additionally, mobs can offer short quests with small rewards.

New biome:

Blue Moon Forest — home to the Moon Deer. New plants and unique trees grow here, along with crystal clusters.

 Other small additions:

- Catnip — grows in savannas, taigas, and plains. Can be cultivated on farmland, crafted into a decorative mint wine block, or used to gather a crowd of cats and Bakeneko around you.
- Other plants — Moon Flowers (3 types), Spider Lily (quite poisonous). Strawberries, rice, and tea, which can be found in villages or traded with villagers, provide new food.
- New villager profession — Tea Master, with its associated job site block: the drying basket, where you can also dry tea leaves

This mod is my first experience in modding, so some things are here simply because I enjoy them, not because they are strictly necessary. Therefore, I will not be porting it to other Minecraft versions or Fabric in the near future. I already have specific ideas for future updates, but I'm always open to hearing new suggestions

If you don't like the design of the mod's blocks, download the resource pack: FantastikVanilla Pack. It replaces blocks mod with a more vanilla-style appearance.
