Foraged foods

There's a lot more edible stuff in the world than you think -- and now, you can cook it, sometimes with the help of a little cooking oil. Wild greens salad, garden veggie soup, sauteed fiddleheads, pumpkin curry, and bamboo shoots are all on the menu. Also, it's always a good idea to bring along snacks on the road -- especially ones that easy to transport and don't take up an inventory slot with the leftover dishware. Roasted sunflower seeds, jerky, dried berries, trailmix, and granola bars are all delicious, filling, and easy to munch on the go.

A whole new crop

Speaking of which, some foraged foods are even better when you grow them at home -- if you plant sunflower seeds in your fields, you'll now be able to grow Mammoth Sunflowers, a beautiful and summery crop to meet your snacking needs. 

Better breakfasts

New breakfast foods to make your morning bright! Bagels, hardboiled eggs, and more are easy to cook and easier to eat.

Deep-fried delights

Cooking oil -- crafted from sunflower or pumpkin seeds -- has opened up a whole new world of fried food. Just be careful: it may be filling, it's not always the healthiest. 

Sweet treats and Sugar Rush

After a hearty meal, what's better than a delicious dessert or refreshing drink? Pumpkin bread, 3 new cakes, 2 pies, ice cream in a variety of flavors, and four new juices offer something sweet -- plus a host of delightful effects.

• Pam's Harvestcraft 2: fruits, berries, and other crops from PHC2 Crops and Trees can be used in Farmer's Larder recipes
• My Nether's Delight: ingredients like bullet peppers from My Nether's Delight are likewise usable in Farmer's Larder recipes
• Cobblemon: pay attention to berry flavors -- those with just the right profile can be used in certain Farmer's Larder recipes as well!
