Foraged foods

There's a lot more edible stuff in the world than you think -- and now, you can cook it, sometimes with the help of a little cooking oil. Wild greens salad, garden veggie soup, sauteed fiddleheads, pumpkin curry, and bamboo shoots are all on the menu. Also, it's always a good idea to bring along snacks on the road -- especially ones that easy to transport and don't take up an inventory slot with the leftover dishware. Jerky, dried berries, trailmix, and granola bars are all delicious, filling, and easy to munch on the go.

Deep-fried delights

Cooking oil -- crafted from sunflower or pumpkin seeds -- has opened up a whole new world of fried food. Just be careful: it may be filling, it's not always the healthiest.

After a hearty meal, what's better than a delicious dessert or refreshing drink? Pumpkin bread, 3 new cakes, 2 pies, ice cream in a variety of flavors, and four new juices offer something sweet -- plus a host of delightful effects.
