About

Description

Final Epoch gives you the ability to time travel through 8 time periods using the time jumper, or just by using the /timetravel command.

AC = After Creation

BC = Before Creation

Time periods:

  1. Very far past (or Hadean) 4B years BC
  2. Far Past (Cambrian) 500M years BC
  3. Past (Carboniferous) 350M years BC
  4. Near Past (Pleistocene) 124K BC
  5. Present (literally the current overworld)
  6. Near Future (2.7k years AC)
  7. Future (50M years AC)
  8. Far Future (4B years AC)

in beta (still) so expect bugs

Old description:

This mod allows you to time travel through the overworld's natural history.

The way you time travel is by either using a time jumper, which can be crafted from this recipe

old recipe

or by using the command /timetravel, which can only be used in creative mode.

When you right-click the time jumper, it opens up a GUI which shows you the following time periods you can choose to travel to:

  • Very Far Past (Hadean Eon)
  • Far Past (Cambrian Era)
  • Past (Pleistocene)
  • Present
  • Near Future (2070+ years)
  • Future (50M+ years)
  • Far Future (2B+ years)

The Very Far past is basically when the overworld was still forming.
Far past is the Cambrian Era, which is has just an ocean with stone islands, also it's populated with trilobites, which you can kill for scutes to make armour out of.

The Past is the Late Pleistocene Era (Specifically 124,000 Years ago), It has biomes such as the ancient plains, the Pleistocene forest, the boreal forest, the frozen plains, the primal shores and the ancient desert. The mobs that exist there are the Wild boar (Neutral pig with tusks), the auroch (neutral and extinct cattle), the dire wolf and the primitive villagers (basically Neanderthals). The wild boar is the only ancient mob that lives in the present, the auroch is an extinct ancestor of modern cows, the dire wolves are basically a more hostile, rugged version of wolves and the primitive villagers are unlike regular villagers you see today, they barter with flint and bones instead of emeralds, and they are also neutral.

The Near Future is the same as the present but with higher sea levels (roughly y79) and less cold biomes.
The Future has only two biomes, the Ashen wasteland and the overgrown forest.
The Far future is basically when the Overworld becomes uninhabitable

The mod also adds a scuba tank and mask, which basically allows you to explore the oceans and survive the very far past (yes, the Hadean has no oxygen).

It also adds anthracite, which generates in all dimensions and are basically 2x as better as coal.

Note
the mod is currently in beta, so don't be surprised if you find any bugs (if it has any)

it hasn't been tested on server or multiplayer but it should work

time periods may not be 100% accurate to real-life

planned features:

  • synced block placement and breaking across periods.
  • update to 1.21.8 (maybe 26.1x afterwards)
