Description
Fireball Predictor
A client-side Fabric mod for Minecraft 26.2 and 1.21.11 that visualizes the trajectory and impact of fireballs, wither skulls, and wind charges in real-time.
What it does
Fireball Predictor calculates exactly where explosive projectiles will land and what damage they will do before they hit.
By syncing explosion power from the server to the client, the mod deterministically simulates the projectile's kinematics and replicates vanilla Minecraft's explosion raycasting algorithm. The result is a highly accurate, real-time prediction rendered directly in the world.
Features
- Trajectory: A translucent trail showing the projectile's calculated flight path, accounting for drag and acceleration.
- Shockwave Dome: Visualizes the predicted explosion radius at the exact point of impact.
- Block Highlights: Highlights the specific blocks that will be destroyed by the explosion.
- Impact Warning Badge: On-screen HUD warning badge with a countdown timer when in the path of incoming projectiles.
- Multiple Projectiles: Supports fireballs, non-charged and charged wither skulls, and wind charges.
- Smart Owner Tracking: Infers which mob, player, dispenser, or command spawned each projectile and lets you filter highlights per source.
- Server Enforcement: Server owners can disable tracking of "other"-source projectiles (players, dispensers, commands) for every connected client, either for the whole group or per sub-option.
- Configurable: Tweak visual settings, colors, owner filters, and behavior through an in-game YetAnotherConfigLib (YACL) menu.

Fair Play
Some servers might classify this mod as Extra-Sensory Perception (ESP), which is a bannable offense on competitive networks. Always play fair and only use this mod on servers where it is explicitly allowed.
To find out how to disable tracking on your server please consult https://github.com/IsAvaible/FireballPredictor#server-configuration
A Note on 1.8.9
A legacy Forge backport for Minecraft 1.8.9 is maintained. Please note that the 1.8.9 version is a rough backport and no feature parity with the main mod is guaranteed.

Fireball Predictor
A ghast fireball takes about three seconds to hit you. That's enough time to move, if you know where it's going.
Fireball Predictor draws the flight path of incoming fireballs, wither skulls and wind charges into the world, marks where they'll land, outlines the blocks they'll destroy, and puts the hearts you're about to lose on your health bar before the hit lands.
What you'll see
- Trajectory: A trajectory arc from the shooter to the impact point.
- Shockwave Dome: A dome at the impact point, roughly the size of the coming explosion.
- Block Highlights: Outlines on the exact blocks the blast will break.
- Warning Badge: A countdown badge when something is on a collision course with you.
- Cracking hearts over your health bar: the damage the hit will deal after armor, Protection, Blast Protection, absorption and Resistance are all accounted for.

It tracks ghast fireballs, wither skulls, wind charges, dragon fireballs, and shots from players, dispensers and commands. The mod works out who fired what, so you can highlight ghast fire only and ignore wither projectiles.
The prediction runs vanilla's own explosion code on the client, so the highlighted blocks are the ones that will actually break.

Server owners who want it off can disable tracking of player-fired shots for all connected clients: https://github.com/IsAvaible/FireballPredictor#server-configuration
Config
Colors, line width, domes, HUD anchors, owner filters are all customizable in the config screen. You can find the config in ModMenu.
