Description

Floating Cushions

Cushions are meant to sit on solid ground — knock out the block underneath one and it breaks within about a second. This mod removes that restriction entirely: cushions float in place indefinitely, with or without a supporting block. Features

Cushions no longer break when their supporting block is removed. Cushions can be placed and will stay floating with nothing underneath at all. No new items, blocks, textures, or recipes — purely a behavior change to vanilla's Cushion entity. Server-side only. Works in singleplayer (your world's internal server handles it) and on dedicated servers — vanilla clients connecting to a modded server will see cushions floating normally, no client-side mod needed.

⚡ Extremely lightweight

This mod is about as small as a mod can get — a single mixin injecting into one method. to always report "yes, I'm supported." No extra classes, no config files, no background processing, no performance cost beyond what vanilla already does. If you're worried about mod bloat, this won't move the needle at all.

Compatibility

Requires Fabric Loader + Fabric API. Built for Minecraft 26.3-snapshot-3 and later 26.3 snapshots.

Notes

This targets a very new, in-development Minecraft feature (Cushions were added in this exact snapshot). Future 26.3 snapshots may change how Cushions work internally, which could require an update to this mod.
