Description

Forgotten Engineers

Engineering Wisdom

Long ago, there was an ancient civilisation of engineers who focused on portable technology. To rediscover their lost technology, Engineering Wisdom is scattered across the world on old parchments.

Restoration Wisdom

Can be found in Village Toolsmith or Weapon smith chests, and if you're lucky, in abandoned mineshafts.

Distribution Wisdom

To be released with the 1.1.0 update.

Wisdom #3

To be released with the 1.2.0 update.

Wisdom #4

To be released with the 1.3.0 update.

Items

Like Smithing Templates, Engineering Wisdom can be duplicated as the wisdom itself is consumed in the crafting recipe.

Restorer

Created after finding the Restoration Wisdom, the Restorer acts like a repair kit. It functions similarly to a Bundle, in that you can store a mixed stack of up to 64 items in it. However, it can only hold repair materials like Iron Ingots, Diamonds, Cobblestone, etc. When a tool has been damaged to the point it needs repairing, instead of spending XP on an Anvil to combine the repair material and the damaged tool, by storing the materials in the Restorer, it will automatically repair the tool! Very handy in the early game, before Mending is obtained, and bypasses the Too Expensive limit on the Anvil!

Router

To be released with the 1.1.0 update.

Modpack Authors

The mod was developed for CurseForge's 2026 ModJam 'Echoes of the Past', but designed for modpacks.

Restorer

The Restorer has three tags:

forgottenengineers:restoration_wisdom_discovers adds items to the Restoration Wisdom tooltip

forgottenengineers:restorer_ignore_materials prevents items from being placed inside the Restorer

forgottenengineers:restorer_ignore_tools prevents items from being repaired by the Restorer
