You get Night Vision and Saturation that never runs out, even if you die. If you drink milk, just press your apostrophe key, and a GUI will pop up, click refresh, and your effects will come back.

With your newly found Night Vision and Saturation, you will no longer have to worry about finding food to eat, or worry about unseen monsters in dark caves.

This mod simply just makes your survival experience that much easier.
