Freeze Admin

A lightweight, server-side moderation mod for Minecraft Forge 1.20.1.

Freeze Admin is designed for server administrators and moderators who need a simple and reliable way to temporarily freeze players during investigations, rule enforcement, or staff interactions.

Unlike many moderation mods, Freeze Admin is 100% server-side, meaning your players do not need to install anything.

Commands

Freeze a player

/freeze <player>

Freezes the selected player immediately.

Unfreeze a player

/unfreeze <player>

Removes the frozen state from the player.

List frozen players

/freezelist

Displays all currently frozen players.

How It Works

When a player is frozen:

• They cannot move.
• They cannot break blocks.
• They cannot place blocks.
• They cannot attack entities.
• They cannot use items.
• Most commands are blocked.
• The frozen state remains active even if the server restarts.

Administrators with permission can still manage frozen players using the available moderation commands.

Server-Side Only

Freeze Admin is a server-side only mod.

Players do not need to install the mod to join your server.

Simply place the mod inside the server's mods folder.

Because the mod only listens to Forge events and does not add blocks, items, dimensions, or world generation, it is compatible with the vast majority of Forge mods.

Performance

Freeze Admin has an extremely small performance footprint.

It only processes players that are currently frozen, making it suitable even for heavily modded servers.

Permissions

Only server operators (OP) with the required permission level can execute moderation commands.

Regular players cannot bypass the freeze restrictions.

Installation

1. Stop your server.
2. Copy the mod into the mods folder.
3. Start the server.
4. Done!

No client installation is required.
