GasCraft - a new mod with special gasses

Includes machines to produce and refine the gasses, canisters and grenades to contain the gasses. A grenade launcher or thrown action to deliver the grenades. A gas mask for protection when needed. These gasses affect players and mobs.

Grenade Effect on players Effect on mobs
Smoke Grenade White smoke obscures vision. No damage or status effects. No damage or status effects.
Colored Smoke Grenades Dye-colored smoke obscures vision. All 16 colors work like ordinary Smoke Grenades. No damage or status effects.
Tear Gas Grenade Blurs vision and slows movement by 10%. No direct damage. Irritation and slowing linger after leaving until the irritation clears. Slows ordinary affected mobs by 10% and prevents them from targeting players; they can still target other mobs.
Pulmonary Agent Grenade Depletes gas breath, then deals 2 HP per successful suffocation hit. Damage stops outside the cloud. Depletes gas breath and causes the same suffocation damage to susceptible mobs.
Mustard Gas Grenade Blurs vision and slows movement by 15%. After gas breath runs out, deals 4 HP per successful suffocation hit; this damage continues for 5 seconds after the last breath-exhausted exposure. Irritation and slowing can last longer. Ordinary affected mobs slow by 15%, lose all attack targets, and wander or stumble. Susceptible mobs take the same lingering suffocation damage.
Regenerating Mist Grenade Applies Regeneration VI, refreshed while exposed. The effect lasts up to 11.5 seconds after its last refresh. Works through gas protection. Applies Regeneration VI to mobs that accept it.
Healing Mist Grenade Delivers one Instant Health V pulse when the fuse expires, healing up to 64 HP (32 hearts), capped at maximum health. Works through gas protection. The red puff lingers for 3 seconds and fades over 2 seconds; entering it later gives no healing. The same pulse heals non-undead mobs by up to 64 HP, or deals 96 base HP (48 hearts) to undead. Gas protection blocks the harmful undead damage. The lingering puff gives no additional pulses.
Raid Gas Grenade Same blurred vision and 10% slowing as Tear Gas, with the same lingering irritation. Players are not outlined. Same movement and targeting effects as Tear Gas, plus outlines on hostile mobs in Minecraft’s Enemy category. Outlines last through lingering irritation. Hostile bosses can be outlined even though their movement and targeting remain unaffected.
Misted Meat Grenade Each feeding dose randomly adds 1 food point or 1 saturation point; at full concentration, about one dose per second. Feeding works through gas protection. Also depletes gas breath. Does not feed or heal mobs. It can still deplete their gas breath, but causes no direct damage.
Sarin Grenade Causes nerve poisoning that builds with exposure and deals increasing damage. Poisoning and damage continue after leaving while the sickness wears off. Causes the same increasing, lingering nerve damage to most living mobs, including undead.
Poison I Grenade Green smoke applies Poison I while exposed, with a 1-second hold-over after leaving. Applies Poison I to susceptible mobs with the same 1-second hold-over. Poison-immune mobs are unaffected.
Poison II Grenade Green smoke applies Poison II while exposed, with a 1-second hold-over after leaving. Applies Poison II to susceptible mobs with the same 1-second hold-over. Poison-immune mobs are unaffected.
Poison III Grenade Green smoke applies Poison III while exposed, with a 1-second hold-over after leaving. Applies Poison III to susceptible mobs with the same 1-second hold-over. Poison-immune mobs are unaffected.
Napalm Grenade Red smoke detonates after 5 seconds, dealing one 18 HP (9 hearts) blast throughout the gas area, pushing outward with Knockback V strength, and setting targets alight for a full 5-second timer. Smoke stays black for those 5 seconds, then fades over 3 seconds. Gas masks do not block it. Same blast, outward knockback, and burn timer. Native fire immunity, fire-damage protection, and extinguishing still apply. No block damage or block fires.
Stun Gas Grenade A bright world flash and brief white-screen flash fade over 0.5 seconds. Stuns while inside the cloud during its 20-second active period, blocking movement, jumping, attacks, and item use. Camera and inventory remain available. Stun ends outside. After the 20-second active period, smoke fades over 3 seconds. Immobilizes mobs and suspends their AI while inside the active cloud. Ends outside or when the 20-second active period ends. Deals no damage.
Misted Tetrodotoxin I Grenade Dark-purple smoke immediately paralyzes exposed targets during its 5-second spread. At 5 seconds, targets still inside take one high damage hit, then the cloud and paralysis end. Same paralysis and delayed hit, with mob AI suspended.
Misted Tetrodotoxin II Grenade Dark-purple smoke immediately paralyzes exposed targets during its 5-second spread. At 5 seconds, targets still inside take one massive damage hit, then the cloud and paralysis end. Same paralysis and delayed hit, with mob AI suspended.
Misted Death (Tetrodotoxin III) Grenade Dark-purple smoke immediately paralyzes exposed targets during its 5-second spread. At 5 seconds, targets still inside take one F.A.F.O. damage hit, then the cloud and paralysis end. Same paralysis and delayed hit, with mob AI suspended.

Gasses are registered as gasses and can be used with Mekanism and other compatible gas equipment and transport.

Custom gasses can be defined. It takes an initial launch to register your custom gas as a gas. It will be available the second launch.
