Description

Gibbs Utils

Gibbs Utils is a configurable server-side utility mod that adds essential quality-of-life commands for teleportation, homes, warps, chat, player management, and admin tools. It is designed for servers that want familiar utility commands without needing a large all-in-one plugin system.

The mod includes modular config options, allowing server owners to enable or disable entire command groups or individual features. Teleport commands can also be configured with cooldowns, warmups, movement cancellation, and optional experience costs.

Features

Teleportation Utilities

Gibbs Utils includes a full set of teleport commands for everyday server use:

  • /home [name] — Teleport to one of your saved homes.
  • /sethome [name] — Save your current location as a home.
  • /delhome [name] — Delete one of your saved homes.
  • /homes — List your saved homes.
  • /back — Return to a previous location.
  • /spawn — Teleport to your personal spawn, or world spawn if unavailable.
  • /worldspawn — Teleport to the overworld spawn.
  • /warp <name> — Teleport to a server warp.
  • /setwarp <name> — Create a server warp.
  • /delwarp <name> — Delete a server warp.
  • /warps — List available warps.
  • /rtp — Randomly teleport to a safe location within the configured range of world spawn.

Teleport features can support:

  • Global teleport cooldowns
  • Teleport warmups
  • Cancel-on-move warmups
  • Optional experience costs
  • Saved /back locations

Random Teleport

The /rtp command lets players randomly teleport within a configurable range from world spawn. It searches for safe locations and avoids placing players in dangerous or invalid spots.

Random teleport locations must have:

  • Solid ground below the player
  • Air blocks for the player’s feet and head
  • No water or lava at the landing location
  • A valid surface location rather than underground or high in the air

Server owners can configure:

  • RTP range
  • Maximum search attempts
  • Whether RTP requires experience
  • RTP experience cost

TPA Commands

Player-to-player teleport requests are included:

  • /tpa <player> — Request to teleport to another player.
  • /tpahere <player> — Request another player teleport to you.
  • /tpaccept — Accept a pending teleport request.
  • /tpdeny — Deny a pending teleport request.
  • /tpatoggle — Toggle whether you receive TPA requests.

TPA requests support configurable timeouts and optional experience costs.

Admin Teleport Commands

Gibbs Utils also includes admin-focused teleport tools:

  • /tpoffline <player> — Teleport to an offline player’s last known location.
  • /tpdim <dimension> — Teleport between dimensions.
  • /tpall — Teleport all players to you.

These commands can be individually enabled or disabled and may be configured with experience costs if desired.

Chat Utilities

Useful chat commands are included for private messaging and announcements:

  • /msg <player> <message> — Send a private message.
  • /r <message> — Reply to your most recent private message.
  • /broadcast <message> — Send a server-wide broadcast.
  • /nick <nickname> — Set your nickname.
  • /delnick — Remove your nickname.
  • /nicks — List player nicknames.
  • /color — Set chat color options.

Broadcast formatting can be configured, including prefix text, prefix color, and message color.

Admin Utility Commands

Simple admin and player-management commands are included:

  • /heal [player] — Heal yourself or another player.
  • /feed [player] — Feed yourself or another player.
  • /inv <player> — View a player’s inventory or ender chest.
